    The Warrior Products #4860 Toyota Tacoma Platform Roof Rack has a load capacity of 400 lbs. on-road and 250 lbs. off-road. We recommend these weights because, while the platform rack itself can hold considerably more weight, the integrity of the vehicle roof may not. Please note that these are the suggested weights for when the vehicle is in motion.

    Anyone ever try out the wind deflector or figure out a way to mount a light bar under the front of the rack? How has satellite reception been... or just a review of the product since it's been in use for a while now? Thanks!

    To touch on the light bar under the front of the rack, Warrior has not designed any LED Light Bar mounting brackets for use with the #4860 Toyota Platform Roof Rack. The roof rack is 51-1/4" wide (outside to outside) with 1-1/4" round tube on the perimeter leaving you with 48-3/4" to work with if you are planning on mounting the LED Light Bar on the flat plates. Due to this, I would suggest a 48" LED Light Bar, straight or curved, if you want to cover as much of the front of the rack as possible. A curved 50" LED Light Bar may work as well, but you might have to mount it to the round tube or get creative with some custom mounts for the flat plates.

    CVT installed a warrior roof rack and air damn on my Tacoma. So far been really happy, they did a great job and it seems tough as nails.

    You're welcome! Do you guys carry high lift mounts for the rack?

    We do! Check out the #4870 . It's designed specifically for that rack. It uses the corner buckets (the same buckets that affix the platform rack to the rack mounts) as a mounting surface. The off-road jack mounts can be placed horizontally along the rack or both on one side (passenger or driver). Let us know if you have any questions!

    Edit: The mounts also have tabs that accept a padlock.

    Awesome! I'll check it out today. Have any recommendations for the best place to order? Maybe I can see if CVT can get them in.

    CVT has full access to the Warrior Product line, as do a number of other vendors on TW. Just to name a few:
    @ToyTec Lifts
    @YotaDan

    The product will likely be shipped directly from us, so you can order from any business you would like that carries our products. We do currently have these in stock.

    Looks like awesome sturdy rack. Could use some garnish molding in track for a more finished clean look though.

    So great I found this thread. Looking at getting the cab and bed racks. And this pretty much hit the head on the nail. Looks like I need to save some more for both .

    I mounted the roof rack a couple weeks ago and I'm pretty happy with it as a rack. It super sturdy and after replacing the rain gutter gussets, it's looking decent. I'm trying to decide whether to mount the fairing or a light bar under it to try and use that to block the wind and for a sleeker look. With nothing there, however, the rack whistles over about 30 mph. At highway speeds, there's a constant, ~50 dB whistle audible in the truck, irrespective of whether windows are up or down. The whistle makes me inaudible to people I try to talk to on the phone via Bluetooth, so food for thought. Overall I'm pleased with the rack (I primarily use it for my RTT) but I would caution buyers to have a plan for dealing with wind noise, either the fairing or maybe a light. Once my brackets come in to mount the bar to the front round bar, I'll follow up on whether the bar is sufficient as a fairing or if the fairing specifically is needed.

    Thank you for your feedback Brad. As always, customer feedback is what allows us to improve our existing products and develop new products. We do strongly recommend the use of either the #4865 Front Platform Roof Rack Air Dam or a light bar to eliminate this wind noise/vibration. Both options are excellent and we assure that you will be pleased with the noise reduction!

    Thanks for the write up. I just put the Safari snorkel on today so after my play money builds up again I will be getting this rack.

    Anyone have any updates on adding light bar to the rack? I'm looking to fit a 42" curved bar probably on top since I will have an air dam

    Should work just fine. I mounted one on mine and it worked out. Cant remember the size, 42 or 48inch curved bar. Don't really like the thick bar on it but it's functional. If I had to do it again I'd probably go with a single row bar.
