It's refreshing to know there are still a few people out there like yourself that are going to treat the vehicle they're working on as if it's their own. We can hope that the rest of the mechanics follow your lead and recognize this. Good job man!:thumbsup:

TSB work was replace rear springs and do alignment on 2009 TRD Sport. No financial cost to me.

Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
definately not. softer springs would not enable the truck to actual carry its load capacity

If you worry about the ride, I didn't notice much difference. The rear suspension definitely got harder, it at least didn't bounce as much when I tried to get into the bed. :D

Do not know what dealer is telling you but here are my part numbers:

    Before:
3 Spring Packs = came on truck

    After:
4 Spring Packs = replaced by dealer and gave my truck a firmer ride and about a 1" lift.

What's that saying about the squeaky wheel ....
I had some angst about dealing with this TSB stuff and I am not a whiner, but it all comes down to:
    1. I paid good money for a quality product.
    2. This harsh ride issue is something Toyota recognizes.

I always prefaced my TSB complaint with "if I did not love my Toyota so much, and want it to be the best it can be ...."
That pretty much paved the way and my dealer has been accommodating.

If your model includes the front shock replacement with the TSB, push for it. If they are not accommodating, call the 800 - customer service. I have found that they for sure want you to be satisfied!

if they agreed to do the TSB, they need to completely do it, not half assed

What if they agreed to half ass it, and it's in the fine print? Or worse yet, what if they put a half-ass fee in on the buyer's agreement?

You can wait or this would be my approach:

I would ask the dealership if the 2009's were covered in the TSB, would they then complete the job - replace the front shocks.

If their answer is yes - document that for repoorting to customer service. If their answer is no, call customer service anyway.
    Call 1-800-331-4331
    http://www.toyota.com/help/contactus.html

and place your dissatisfaction. Be prepared. Have all you paperwork in hand (TSB attached) - phone numbers - people you dealt with. Be clear on what was done and what was not done. Strress your safety concerns about the incomplete installation of the suspension components. Be clear, pleasant and professional. Ask that a case be opened and ask that your case manager call you - to review your "unfinished" issues.

Be cool. Expect this to take a few days.
No guarantees - just an option.
    Good luck either way!

I have a TRD Sport (Bilstein shocks) and had the TSB done. My invoice says that they did the realignment. I had this done last Friday (7/10/09).
