I'm trying to wire an aftermarket 12v washer pump for an aftermarket tank. I have 3 blue wires and one white (ground). With the truck on, I get 12v from all 3 blue wires. When I pull the washer lever, the voltage at the blue wires drops to 0v.

I would expect the opposite. Does anyone know what's goign on here? Are Toyota pumps wired to always on?

Another interesting thing I don't get - When I hook up the pump instead of my micrometer, it turns on when I connect the Blue/Orange line to ground, but neither of the other two, despite them also showing 12v.

As you can see the washer motor is always hot and grounds through the switch

Are you planning on the factory switch??

Blue/White and Blue/ Orange should be your wires if this is the correct year diagram.
