I have a 2012 TRD Sport DCLB with premium Entune Navigation. Does that headunit have the ability to stream video or play a video? Thanks in advance!

From factory, I don't believe its legal to have a video player in the front seats. But you may be able to mod it so it does.

My '13 maxima has a DVD player with the screen in the dash. It's stupid. It only works in with the vehicle in Park & e brake on. On an unrelated note, this will be the last nissan I ever own.

I have the app radio. I can load stock quotes and some other stuff. Does that mean I can watch dvds? I should probably just rent a dvd and try with it in park. I know if it works then there's a mod somewhere for it.

On the 2014 models, I don't see why someone couldn't make the camera inputs run whatever video you want to play... Might have to be in reverse to get it to show, but there's always a work around for a signal. The '14 should fit a 12 I think... I could be worng, but mods are available to add the '14 radio to the '12 vehicle I think. Where there's a will, there's a way.

Please tell me you DO NOT want to watch movies while driving down the road???? Texting and driving is bad enough. Watching a movie while driving won't be much different. I've cut more people out of cars than I care to remember to have any more distractions. Please don't add to the problem if that's what you plan on doing.

OP didnt say anything about watching and driving...you guys are quick to make assumptions. Maybe he wants to watch a movie while parked...ever consider that?

Yes I did. Did you ever make a assumption that maybe he want's to watch a movie while driving down the road? If you didn't it might be a little naive on your part. There is a reason that vehicle manufacture's make it so the vehicle can not play a DVD on screen unless the vehicle is in park with the emergency brake on.

Add to that.... I asked a question before making a assumption. All that being said. If the OP truly wants to be able to play a DVD "while" driving I simply stated don't do it. When you have to cut the bloody corpse out of a vehicle because of someone being drunk, texting, etc... you will understand my concern and point of view.

I have wanted to be able to play movies while driving in some of my previous vehicles. Not to watch, but to listen to.

I have a problem with getting bored and sleepy during long, solo drives. I learned to like books on tape/CD as a way to keep my mind active. Having the ability to play movies I've seen many times would be a huge help since my mind could play the movie in my head while listening to it.

Luckily, I don't have to make those drives any more, but no need to pre-judge.
