Add me to that group. I took a 89' F150 to 230k miles and would have kept it but I moved to Florida and the AC system needed to be replaced since it was an old freon system. My last vehicle was a 2012 Ford Edge with 132k on it and would have kept it except the trans started to leak and act funny. Wasn't messing with no damn CVT. Now I'm in a Taco. I wanted the Ranger, maybe a Maverick but I was underwhelmed with the Rangers I drove and was leery of the the ecoboost motors for longevity. I agree the Taco V6 is underwhelming but I'm in my 50's now and have a 500 HP Mustang in the garage for when I have a need for speed :)

Would you believe I have a really clean 1989 full size Bronco, Eddie Bauer edition, with the 302/5.0 V8 and a 5-Speed Manual in storage with only 140,000 miles on the clock?

Every time I get it out and take it for a drive folks are trying to buy it from me on the spot. :p

Owned a 1985 Ranger and it taught me how to change engines. It also never ran when it got humid or rained. Went Honda and Toyota after that and never looked back. Doubt they will sell enough of these to develop any after market parts. Ford will kill it off in a few years anyway.

This. I've owned 3 Fords. One was a shit show (04-08 F150 - well known for it's fuckery), but I'd never buy into this small turbo game they are playing. FordTechMakuLoco covers this whole "ecoboost" thing very well. He's not biased. He loves Fords. But he will call it a shitshow if it's a shitshow.

That’s what they said about the maverick. Now my maverick is worth 10 grand more than I bought it for

My 2005 Tacoma has 230,437 miles on it and until the doors fall off of it I will continue to own it. But I will say that my 2013 F-150 LARIAT with the 3.5 EcoBoost really surprised me. I didn't think that truck would have the power it does without a V-8 and I was wrong.

I go from my own personal experience of owning a 3.5 ecoboost and it was flawless. So saying something is crap because someone else said so is ignorant. Lots of people have never owned 90% of the stuff they talk shit about.

Except I didn't say anything was crap nor did I talk shit. Neither does the channel I linked. He will address flaws and has an outstanding reputation as a Ford tech. I'd take his word before I took Ford's or some random owner. Personal experience I can understand and why I mentioned out of 3 Fords, one was a dud and well known for it with minimal amount of research to confirm. But personal experience also doesn't represent a majority. Especially considering you mentioned not going beyond 100k. Personally, I love Ford. But I love my Taco too. Everyone has their own reasons to go one way or another. I personally could care less and at this point, I'm in it for the long haul. Problems and all. It would be the same regardless of if it was a Toyota or not, and I did consider other options first.

Marketing, yes. Delivering the product on time, not so much.
Not to mention the immediate recalls on the Bronco for build issues.
Even though I do hope it gives the Wrangler some good competition.

I am sure it is a nice truck...on the starting line. My wife has the Edge St so I am cheering for that turbo double type stuff to hold up. But Justin Case, I have my Taco...

I love the big Broncos and they are selling for crazy money right now, I'm just going to stick mine in the garage, I also got a 06 Mustang GT, fun car. I also have a 84 Bronco that I'm restoring it has a Four Wheel camper on it, the reason I bought it.
Hang on to that 89 Bronco.

NEG - FORD cant keep up with popular vehicle demand, bronco demand and top issue
    - FORD depreciates fast
-RANGER looks narrow, and deep bed, tailgate is high looking
-is it as tuff, long lasting as a taco or gladiator?

but it would be fun to drive

F....screw the warranty. You get the idea, I bought a Tacoma and it was not because of any Warranty. Just Saying, I believe the Hyundai had a better warranty at the time I bought my Tacoma.
