My first Japanese truck was a 65 Datsun then a Toyota then Tacoma's ever one of them had in excess of 300K They are perfect for my needs. I'm not driving like I used to my 2011 only has 150K on it and is perfect for my need pulls my 17' duel axle camper just fine with a 6 sp manual

There's a Toyota 2dr pickup just down the road. It has to be one of the tiniest trucks still driving around that I've seen in recent years. It's about the size of my first truck - a Dodge D50 (Mitsubishi re-brand). That was a nice truck until the timing chain fell off and ... well interference valves... :-(

I had a 2008 Ford Ranger until last Christmas, when it lost an argument with a bridge railing. If Ford had kept building the "real" Rangers after 2012, I'd still own one. But the pretend truck that replaced it is just not for me. I personally really likc the V-6 engine. Had one in my Mazda minivan (ford cosworth engine), had one in my 08 ranger, and now have one in my Tacoma.

All 3 of my trucks have had manual trannys. I just like a truck with a manual for some reason - I find it just "too much fun" shifting gears in a truck.

I also find the v6 quite peppy enough for my needs.

As for brands you can't really love... for me that's Datsun (now Nissan). (I did love the early Datsun FWD cars and small trucks, but that was eons ago). My biggest problem with them is the way they invent and then abandon model names every couple of months. I'd really hate to be an owner of the "cashcow" or whatever they call that one.

I think the front end looks “puckered” and the grille is way too small.

Expedition and Suburban beat the 4Runner that was not mentioned in the top SUV rankings. 4Runner was also beat by Highlander.

    4Runner is the better SUV.

What is the drive basing the ratings on?

I read something about iseecars research or something like that.

it was just something I pulled up via google after reading a few posts on this thread. Figured with folks debating vehicle longevity, I’d add something hopefully based on a some sort of data and not just personal opinions.

I'm not sure if the data is reliable. :D

Looks like the Ridgeline is the best truck hands down. Even tho a domestic fullsize can tow and haul more, and has more passenger room.
There's no mention of the Honda Pilot anywhere, when the full size domestics beat Honda in the SUV category. Even the Land Cruiser beat the domestic fullsize SUVs, but he fullsizes beat the 4Runner.

What are the metrics here? Reliability? That still doesn't make sense, and how did reliability become the debate for the Ford Raptor Ranger?

The only sensible thing to do is drive a Honda Ridgeline.

    A few.
It helps to make better use of the power thats already there and also increases throttle response. I have the kdmax tune on my 2019.

Tune is available for manuals also. Makes it even better as some members on here could testify too

Pretty soon we will be seeing cars and trucks made from what parts are available. Get ready for a ford Taurus combined with an escape. Or a trx cargo van.
