Thank you! I agree. Feels great on the wrist, too. I thought I was going to feel a significant weight increase.

Did you have it on a bracelet or strap before?

It was originally on a black rubber strap when I first got it. I actually posted a pic of it a couple of pages back on this thread.

I'm sure having it sized correctly makes up for the weight increase. I have a heavy engineer bracelet on my Helm Vanuatu, and I swap it out for a Nato strap or rubber strap pretty often. I can definitely tell the weight difference, but with micro adjustments on the clasp, it fits really well. It is very comfy no matter what I wear it on.

Aaaaa... Makes perfect sense! The micro adjustments on the clasp makes it almost like a NATO when adjusting.

Of course, JDM all the way!
I also have an early 80's diver (Seiko)that needs to be sent out, and a late 90's aviator(Seiko) that I picked up from a merchant that came aboard the Enterprise as we transited the Suez.
I have a coyote Zulu band for the 80's watch, and the Aviator is on an oyster, however I've found for a daily watch that sees sweat I prefer the rubber strap. It's been replaced once already.

I wouldn't mind trying out a Marathon diver if I could scrounge up that kind of extra money and not put it towards a truck, car, or house...or guns.

    Hello fella's!

Today (Saturday) I'll be wearing my classic Steinhart "El Capitan" watch.

Now with that being stated, this watch is definitely not for everyone.

When I first saw this particular styled watch there were three things that enticed me to buy it.

First, well because it's a Steinhart.

Second, it's unique and distinctive "Onion" designed crown that the watch presented.

    Third the price.

The place that was selling it, brand new still in it's original box with papers, etc. was closing it's doors for good. When I first saw it, I called and negotiated on the price (which was already reduced) and well they sold it to me at 50% off the current price that it had.

Once I received the watch I decided to replace it's original clasp buckle strap that the band had on it with a basic "Steinhart" made traditional common buckle. I really do not like that styled design clasp strap buckle. It just doesn't wear/fit well for me.

Click on the Steinhart site link below and scroll down to view it.

    Well it's Monday!

Today sport'in my Maratac watch with it's nylon strap.
I love the fact that this particular watch design was based on vintage WWll aircraft instrumentation panel.

I liked this watch so much that I bought two of them (well really the second one was at such a good deal on the price that I couldn't pass it up).

(I also bought one for my wife which is the exact same design though it's smaller in diameter. More for a woman to wear)

Maratac watch with nylon strap band.jpg Maratac nylon strap.jpg

I love the lume that this watch displays, though in this picture it really doesn't do it justice on it's brightness. But it's a totally different look at nightime.

Found this thread. Love it. Posting generic photos until I can get home and snap some of my actuals, but until then...
Daily wear is the Suunto Core.
The more formal watch is the Hager GMT with Dive band.

Anyone know of a nice feeling nato strap for an 8.5" wrist that didn't use nickel or nickel plated hardware?
