They definitely have their place, but I don’t prefer leather for daily wear. But for dress watches, they need to be on leather.

I'm a diehard Timex guy. When I was in the workforce, I beat the snot out of them and they indeed took it. I bought this one when I stopped working in 2010 and its simple quality and build shows as new.

This Seiko I bought for my Dad in 1985 for his birthday. He Passed away a month later:( I never deployed it, I just keep it safe.

And this Elgin my Dad wore back in the 50s. It is running now as I type:)

Woman likes her's in leather. She is weird. And her watch is thinner

I'm sure some leather straps are more comfortable than others, but the few that I have are stiff and hurt my wrist after a while. I rarely wear them. I much prefer nylon or a steel bracelet, or even rubber on G Shocks or divers.

This was my fathers watch that he wore over seas in WW2. Sold by Eatons in Canada specifically marketed for soldiers . Cool thing about it is that it was made by Rolex. Had a guy pop it open and sure enough Rolex inside.

Stiffness is defiantly an issue. And the way it sits on the wrist. Always wants to "roll" to the outside of the wrist. Or it is too tight. Awe well

I can differentiate, just figured it's better to sound like kind of a jerk... instead of an ass.

I'm thinking of upgrading my watch from a Timex Weekender to a Shinola Runwell but I don't know anyone who has experience with Shinola. Amazon reviews consist of one guy who went through and left a 1-star review on all their watches the same day.

Is it weird that it bugs me greatly to see the top two watches set at 10:09:35 and the last set at 10:09:36?

I’ll never look at a watch ad the same again.

Ordered a bracelet. Can't wait to toss the gator into a dark spot in the back of the junk drawer.
