Thanks bro. I like how this one gets mildly stained over time to give it a unique look. I have to buy larger watches because smaller ones like the Exec I posted before or a submariner look kinda dainty on me :(

On my wrist I have an Apple Watch that tells time, weather, reminders to do crap, how much oxygen is in my blood... and in my pocket I have this 113+y.o. 21 jewel beauty that might be telling me the correct time. But I like it.

New strap for my '72 Seiko. This watch is unassuming in all aspects but punches above it's weight for style, comfort, and how fresh it looks for a watch that's nearly 50 years old.
the dial is a nice silvery pearl......aannndddd Breguet numerals for the win:

That's awesome! I just started looking at vintage Seikos on Ebay and there's a company out of India that has some really nice ones for cheap.

The general consensus is RUN from those. They are commonly referred to as "franken" watches because they're just thrown together with whatever parts they have on hand so often you have no idea what you're getting. Yeah, they're cheap, so maybe that's fine and you don't care what you're getting.

I was recently doing the same searching and glad I found out before I bought a bunch of junk watches. After that I started limiting my search to US based sellers only. Even then, there are some which are listed as US but really just getting these franken watches from India. As they say "Buy the seller, not the watch". I wouldn't buy an ebay watch from a new seller or any seller with less than stellar feedback. I ended up finding two vintage Seiko's locally on OfferUp instead and have also been perusing the classifieds at WatchuSeek.

    Agreed. Buy once, cry once.

The same goes for any frankenwatch/replica IMO.

I love my 1940s Hamilton Railway Special. Even more so that it belonged to my grandfather that passed away before I was born. It wasn't working when I got it. Had to send it off to get repaired.

Look Retrowatchguy and two vintage seikos. Both on IG. The Seiko guys do auctions on there for a piece. Cool format. They're from Australia but reputable and I've got a watch buddy who buys shit from them all the time. Strongly recommend.
Also here ya' go. You're welcome and I'm also sorry. LOL: https://www.retrowatchguy.com/

You should get that baby serviced if it's not telling the right time! They'll last forever!

My mother has this beauty and near as I can tell it is from the late 1800's or very early 1900's.

This ones been all around the world. Great watch that I wouldn’t be heart broken if it got destroyed but still has good quality/features.
