Has anyone employed these techniques for training a dog? Im going to be getting a puppy this summer and I wanted to see about trying to make sure I train him or her up properly so we can both get along better with each other.

    neglect, mostly.
ive never "trained" a dog to the extent addressed in that book. have always trained my dogs the basics (sit, shake, fetch, shit over here and not in the yard, etc), but never for waterfowl hunting. My brother and a few of my friends have used that book and have always spoken highly of it. good luck.
