& actually it wasn't something I could see. The piece itself looked fine & there were no visible gaps. The way I confirmed it was by putting some weatherstripping over it & boila....

The window "wetting" was driving me nuts cuz I dunno about you, but when it dried, it left a dull filmy look. I was constantly cleaning it. I did not take the door apart. For me the window "wetting" was excessive enough. I also had water constantly parking itself on the door threshold. While I understand that is where it will naturally escape to if need be, again, a bit excessive when it happened every time it rained or the snow melted or I washed the truck, etc. Don't need another rust trap area.... Especially when there's a seam right there....

One thing I noticed on my passenger door is that the seal was pushed towards the back and there was about a 1/4in gap in the front. Water was getting into the door much faster than it should. Especially in car wash. The seal was easy to move forward and center on the window. Still get some water in, but much better than before.

I was just replacing my blown JBL 6x9s with some kicker components found water so I looked it up and found this thread. Didn't want to put new speakers in if there was an issue

Lol . If you really want get a can of 3m corrosion protection with a spray wand and treat the inside of your door ( to treat future rust) but it is very normal . Sunroofs also don't seal they have weep lines at all 4 corners.

Shouldn't be any if the weather seals are good. The water can eventually ruin the doors electric's inside.
