My son bought a 2000 tacoma with a 2.7 and the guy says he thought it was a bad timing chain so I pulled the valve cover off and timing chain is in good shape, so I put a battery in it and rolled it over it started but with the valve cover just sitting on the motor I have antifreeze coming out what are the chances its a head gasket not a bad head. Any thoughts

Do you know if the vehicle has been detrimentally overheated?
