I always have problems with water getting under the hood getting the battery wet. Anyone have any tips of what to do. Maybe a splash guard or something similar? I'm tired of resetting my radio everytime I go offroad.. :frusty:

It sounds like you "are" missing some kind of guard or shield. Do some looking around on youtube. You might be missing something. Also it might not be the battery. It could be the fuse box next to the battery getting wet.

If your in water all the time maybe think of a boat

Are you doing river crossings with a snorkel and water is about mid engine level??

Unless this is the case I think your having problems with a loose connection or a few

I don't think your problem is a wet battery. I've never had my radio reset from water in the engine bay. Like Wyoming09 said check for loose connections.

Well I've got a lifted 5 Lug. I'm guessing I need to get a custom made skid plate? Mine never came with one.

Now I don`t Ford Rivers with my Tacoma

But some of these Hurricanes manage to flood some low areas

I don`t have any tool catchers under my truck and I have never had electrical problems from water

Is you alternator under water most of the time ??
