Has anyone experienced a water leak coming from the rear window area? I have a 2016 Tacoma for a bit over 2 months and after numerous washes water finally is going thru. The water marks/stains are noticeable at the ceiling near the rear window . I am taking it in to the dealership but was wondering if any 2016 Tacoma are having the same issue . This is unacceptable for a brand new truck

Most likely a third brake lamp.

The perks of a brand new truck with warranty.

If you have the moon roof it could be the drains are not connected properly. But that's just wild guessing. Hopefully the dealer can get you fixed up. There have been a few people with leaks, but nothing that I would call a trend.

No moonroof. My guess as well is the third brake lamp. The water stain spreads out throughout the entire rear window area. And sometimes it drips to the seats.

That is what I said back in May the 1st rain that fell on my new 2015 Chevy Colorado I had just paid cash for. Feels like someone kicked you in the stomach don't it?

It sure was a kick to the stomach! latest update dealer found the issue. It was the third brake light. So that is getting replaced as well as the headliner . Will see the results

Nice. At least your dealer is being pro-active about it. Hope that works for you and fixes everything.

Curious as to how they replace a headliner in a built truck. Thats an extensive repair.
the h/l in the highlander and sienna are brought through the front window normally (no glass yet) or through the open hatch if its being replaced for damage.
    man, that sucks, sorry
