After a rainy day, I had a puddle of water on the passenger side floor.

Afterwards, I took a hose and sprayed water, at the fender corners, at the firewall, thinking it was plugged, but the water flowed out, in behind the front wheels, at the mud flaps.

I heard a plugged AC drain might do this, but I don't know where it is.

Where else should I look for a blockage?

    Thanks guys.

The AC drain might be plugged

Not sure about the v6 but on my 4cyl the ac drain comes out of the lower fire wall around the area of the passengers feet, outside of the truck obviously. I first noticed it doing an oil change so it might be easier to find from under the truck. Looks like a 4 inch long rubber hose coming out at a 45* angle towards the ground.

    A little a this, a little a that...
I've had this happen on a first gen due to a plugged up AC drain. Blast some compressed air or stick a wire through the drain to get things moving again.

seems like these things leak in different ways. mine (2007)was pulling in water(wicking) at the seam of the cowl and would drip down behind the cabin filter box in a heavy rain. I cleaned and sealed the seam with black silicone, added a rodent screen, and for safe measure, cut a piece of black plastic from a flower /nursery pot to cover the cowl.

this is where water was getting in. most of it would soak into and behind the foam which would drip behind the cabin filter box. if it rained really hard it would overflow into the cabin filter itself (cabin filter removed in this pic)

If you search there have been many detailed posts on this forum within the last month with the causes and remedies for this very common problem. Please look for them. We are expecting better than two inches of rain tomorrow. I will check afterward to make sure my leaks have been fixed for good (until new ones pop up that is).The floor is bone dry right now.

Re the clogged AC drain. I haven't used my AC in months. Could this still be the problem?

Damn! mines a 2006 and same exact problem. I put a piece of a metal sheet over that hole hoping it would fix the problem but after it had rained it still got wet. I took the sheet off and saw that foam by the seam was soaked. Did that seam sealer solve your problem?
