Water Leaking in Cab of Truck

Hello Tacoma Owners,
Just an FYI if you are having this issue. After 3 failed attempts from the dealership I purchased this truck from brand new. Another dealership found the issue and went to bat for me with the extend warranty company I luckily purchased. The problem was a hairline crack in the evaporator AC box. The original dealership tried to deem this a normal in "humid climates". False !! As the truck never did this before until the 3rd year and ending it's 3 year 36000 factory warranty. It is a involved repair as the complete dash of truck has to be removed. I hope no one ever has to go through this ordeal I've been dealing with this since May of 2024. Finally after two weeks in the shop it's getting the proper service it needed.

 

This is a common problem when the cowl cover seal fails. The water leaks into the HVAC system.
