Thanks, I'll peek under there next time I see the puddling to notice if mines leaking same place yours was. I'm thinking some silicone caulking will solve the problem, idk.

The hose could've become clogged with a spider web or something of that nature. Happened to me on RAV several years ago. Blew air through the hose and it cleared the problem up. :hattip:

Would not hurt to check, this only occurred after running the AC for more than an hour.

So I have been having this same issue on my 2019 Tacoma TRD Sport! I was thinking originally it was an issue with the windshield, since I had it replaced October 2021 at Satellite and they really messed it up. They didnt seal it at all on the driver side and water flodded my cab. So I was angry and told them it was leaking again!! Come to find out, they inspected it and found no issues with their installation, and I didnt believe them! I have a leak now on my passenger side, coming from up in the dash so I am thinking what else could it possibly be other than the windshield. We checked the cowl and the cabin filter.... dry and no issues. I pulled the AC drain tube and it isnt clogged.... no issues! Finally, I am searching on google and youtube and find these threads where people are talking about this known issue with the evaporation box condensation and leaking water on the floor. I now noticed this is only when the AC is running high for a bit of time.... I see there was a reply about going after the Lemon Law and Toyota is apparently aware of the issue, but will not recall. So I will make a complaint and contact the dealer, to make sure they are aware of the issues that are on going with these 3rd gen!! I have the picture here and this does drip down right on my carpet, since my Weather tech mats dont cover this area on the upper left side. I am out of warranty I am sure, so I wonder what they solution will be....

Good luck to ya! Hopefully more people will file complaints and lawsuits against Toyota so they will be forced to fix this design flaw so others won't have to go through water dripping on passengers feet, on the electrical wires and as we all know, where there is constant moisture on carpet, there is a potential for mold which is a big deal these days! There is alot of threads on here under different titles about water dripping when running AC, which is the outer HVAC box sweating and dripping on floor, some has said that it happens in 2nd Gen also, just can't believe people have excepted Toyotas explanation, OPERATING AS DESIGNED!!!!! No other vehicles I have ever, had, seen , ridden in or other people's vehicles have had water dripping on floor, unless it was a windshield, heater core, cowl or stopped up drain tube causing water inside dripping on passenger floor!

It seems stupid. But I placed some tape up there. Keeps it from running under the weather techs. I’ve yet to have it fixed.

It's not stupid, your just trying to keep it from getting on the carpet and mold , mildew from developing! I seen on the thread on here,AC LEAKING where someone put a makeshift like funnel there to try and channel the dripping! But people who ride in the passenger side will get there feet wet if they have there feet in that area. I see on here where this is a common design flaw that alot of people are having, am I the only one who has a lemon law brewing over this design flaw by Toyota? Is anyone else filing cases w/ Toyota Corp so they will fix this obvious design flaw or is everyone just going to accept water dripping on the carpet and people's feet?

Just glanced quickly at the title to this thread and initially thought it had something to do with waterboarding...?

Both are Stock - built correct from the start.
I just got back from my dealer. There’s a Toyota TSB on this. It deals with replacing a couple fittings and hoses. My parts are on order. Supposed to be in in a couple days.
    I’ll update later.

If there is a Toyota TSB, does anyone know the name of it or identification number so I can look it up to see what going on, Toyota hasn't notified me yet and I have a lemon lawsuit brewing over this problem, all I want is for my 40,000 $ truck not to leak water on carpet and people's feet! I don't see how a fitting or hose is going to fix the outside of the HVAC BOX inside of the vehicle from sweating and dripping water? One of the numerous times I took mine in when it was dripping water onto the floor, they took it apart while I was there and exposed the HVAC BOX and it was literally covered w/ condensation and nowhere for water to go but down onto the floor!

Use weed whacker twine to snake the drain holes when your sunroof is open. Did this on my old ride and it worked like a charm...

Nearly everyone that has this issue, the lines are not clogged. It’s a design flaw not a clogged line.

I figure it’s not worth the hassle to go through all the time and money. I am curious how a hose or fitting will fix the box as you said though lol. But, I’ve been on other threads where users had a similar fix at the dealership and it stopped.

So mine only leaked when going thru a car wash or really heavy rain. Turned out in my case the cowl wouldn't direct water away from the opening but allow water from my windshield to go right into the inlet. Turns out my seal was dry there.

That's exactly what Toyota Corp is counting on, an obvious design flaw that would cost more to admit it, recall and fix it then to just go to court w/ a few ofta us that's not gonna except water leaking on inside of brand new vehicle! Cheaper for them if they loose in court to pay some lemon lawyer fee, pay you to keep it or buy it back, then to recall and fix the problem!

Been dealing with this issue on my truck. right after the dealer swapped the rear light (and replaced major interior - soundproofing, carpet, foam, etc…) it rained and there was a puddle in the drivers seat. Dealer then cleaned the lines, but still leaking. Redoing them myself ,but could it not be the lines being clogged?/ what is the design flaw?
just trying to avoid mold again.
Really sucks , I don’t want my family or self getting sick from this BS.

Your leak sounds like an exterior leak that should be able to be fixed.
The design flaw of water dripping onto the passenger side floor is coming from the outside of the HVAC BOX, (which is behind the glove box) sweats when running AC in humid conditions(mostly on long drives) then drips onto the floor, or someone feet !!!

Starting having this issue. I think I'm gonna test if it happens after running the windshield fluid sprayers.
