Apparently not all of it when it should be all of it.

    Check build thread!
I have taken the entire drain tube off and ran air and water threw it. Trust me. It’s not clogged.

I believe you. I’m referring to the evap box rather than the tube. A leaf or other small object could easily be pushed aside and then fall back to cover but not completely seal the hole in the box where the tube goes. Maybe I’m wrong, just passing on my experience with crap getting in there.

yea, mine isn't clogged either. I think it's condensation from really humid conditions. I notice it's a lot worse if I have have the windows cracked while running a/c.

So condensation on the outside of the evap box? That I could see. It's just not humid enough here to get that so I don’t have any experience with that degree of moisture.

yea, but it was enough condensation to cause a constant drip

I have this slow leak passenger side every time that it rains fairly hard. It’s not terrible, but it’s probably half a Dixie cup puddle of water that forms coming from right under the glove box close to the passenger door. What could this issue most likely be?

mine was condensation from the a/c. i think you may have a different issue. you might have some leaves blocking the air intake for the hvac area.

It’s not uncommon for water to get in through the cabin air intake that’s under the black plastic cowl which covers the area between the top of the firewall and the windshield. The cowl is held in place along the leading edge by visible clips at either end and others hidden under the gasket the hood seals to when closed. It pops loose easily so you can have a look(it’s also a favored entry port for squirrels & rodents. It’s not a problem I’ve personally encountered but I’d check it for cracks or leaking where it meets the windshield just outboard of the passenger side wiper. The air intake is directly below that spot as is the fan box which isn’t sealed for water, just air and not completely for that either. Some have resorted to fabricating a diy drip channel to funnel the water to the side so it can drain to the wheel wells.

Bingo! Returned from hunting Sunday and noticed the passenger footwell was wet, although my wet boots had never been there. Turning the fan on sloshes the water. Removed the cabin filter, turn the fan on, and droplets appeared on top of the housing. Next step: remove fan and drain/dry box.

Removed everything, but mine appears to have been the AC condenser. I collected over a cup of water. The dealer tech said that he had just cleared a RAV4 of a gallon of water inside the, blocked courtesy of an arachnid's building project.

So I took my cowl off and sucked pine needles out. When I put the cowl back, I siliconed the seal between it and the windshield all the way across. I also have no clog in my AC drain, I have checked it multiple times… STILL getting water puddling up in my m passenger side floor board after a hard rain. Wtf!!!! I’ve gotta get this fixed, it’s driving me nuts.

should I plug that little natural drain hole in the cowl on the passenger side? I mean I don’t understand what the issue is.

Had the same issue but i took it through a high pressure carwash which helped. the cabin air filter did get wet. I've seen some crazy "fixes". I'm guessing there is more than one reason for these leaks. in my situation, the water (soapy which made it easier to follow) was coming in through the vents in the cowl. i did two things and if i were to do it again id go in reverse order and and see if i could do without the foam but it's working so I'm leaving it alone right now. i took weather stripping and put it around the vents so when water gets in will be channeled around the vents. i also bough some 1 1/2" X 1 1/2" foam seal stripping, same place you'd get weather stripping.

anyway i stuck the foam seal on the underside of te hood to minimize the gap between the hood and cowl. i cut Three strips and cut at an angle near the washer fluid nozzles to make sure the foam would no impede on the nozzles spray radius.

here are a few pictures. this was a simple fix and it's working so far. IMG_20221223_123043.jpg IMG_20221223_123211.jpg IMG_20221223_123445.jpg IMG_20221223_123604.jpg

Thanks for this post, it helped me trouble shoot and eventually diagnose why my passenger front and rear foot wells were soaked. It also reduced the need for me to remove my canopy and RTT to inspect/replace the cab light.

My own leak was the result of the passenger door wiring loom (the black flexible pipe between the door and front pillar). The pipe/grommet had failed letting water find a path to the front right side of the foot well.
