    Hello,

I’ve got a 2015 Tacoma and after I got a car wash I noticed water leaking on the passenger side floor. I pulled my cabin air filter and it was soaked. Has anyone encountered this? How do I fix it?

I just got this truck and am pretty disappointed. Hopefully it’s an easy fix.

    Any help is greatly appreciated.

oh welcome to the party. there are several threads could be a few items, id start with removing, the plastic under the wipers there might be leaks, the simplest. way is to put a cover over the intake to allow it to not just get soaked.

Thank you so much for your responses.

I’m new to this forum. Are there any step by step photos to show the process? I tried to look but the photos seemed to have been deleted.

Here is a photo I snapped of my windshield. There does seem to be a bit of a gap on the passenger side.

I know it’s hard to tell by the photo, but would I need a whole new cowl just for that little separation? Is there no drain channel before the air intake into the cabin?

Awesome!!! Thank you so much!!! Did your cowl gasket that runs along the window have a warp in it as well? Is the gasket along the window for bigger debris and not water?

    I honestly have no idea.
I’ve had 2 windshields put in since then.

I cleaned the channel and haven’t had a problem since.

Well, I pulled the cowl and didn’t see anything in the drains. Maybe it’s just sun rotted and I need a new one? I’m not sure what to do here…

I did break a tab off on accident, so maybe I just answered my own question.

The windshield says Toyota Pilkington. I’m assuming that’s OEM? So we can rule out a windshield change I guess.

Here are a couple of photos:

The only part I did notice that was clogged up was the side wedge of the cowl (not sure what to call it). The clog was mostly in the mating parts of the wedge and cowl.

And just the clarify, all tabs go under the windshield, right? I just want to make sure I installed it correctly.
