Water sound behind dash. Coolant leak

    I'm talking toyota genuine brand but if you're needing it now then I would go with Napa like Speedytech7 said, Napa imo is the next best option.

    Sorry to revive such an old thread. My truck has a leak or something, I did a cold start with the radiator cap off, and the coolant level continued to rise, but it didn’t shoot out. Is this a bad sign?

    Well, it won't shoot out like that, if I am correct? Without the cap on , it won't build pressure in system.

    If there was a bad head gasket leak the combustion gases might shoot the coolant out while the cap is off, and BenSkiv was referring to that possibility.

    It's normal for the coolant to expand as the engine heats up. If you rev the throttle and get coolant shooting out, then you might have a head gasket problem.

    Yeah, I figured out it’s normal, first vehicle I’ve owned, and first time working on a vehicle.
