I recently started noticing a water sloshing sound coming from behind my dash when the engine is cold during acceleration. I read some of the threads on this suggesting it was low coolant level. I checked the coolant and it is up to the neck of radiator when cold. The overflow resovior is above the full line. I was wondering what else could be the cause of this noise?

You may still have some air bubbles in your coolant system. Let the engine run, with the heater on, with the nose of your truck pointed as high up as you possibly can. This will push as much of the air bubbles toward the top of the radiator as possible. If you still get the noise, you may just have some water and or leaves in your cabin air intake area.

The heater core would be located in the dash and have coolant flowing through it. Not sure if it going bad or the heater control valve would cause a sloshing noise. Maybe try turning the heater on and see if you can recreate the sound, as coolant will be actively flowing through it while its on.

Once the engine warms up, i do no think i hear the sound anymore. Which this tells me it should be something with the cooling system right?

Check to make sure you coolant is full. When mine did that is was because my coolant was low. Once I topped it off and drove for a bit, and topped off again, it went away.

Coolant level is to the top of the radiator neck. And its not a gurgling sound, more a water in a pipe kinda sound.

Mine has been making that sound with a cold engine ever since I bought it brand new last year, I did find it odd, never thought anything of it. Truck has been through many routine inspections and nothing has come up so...?

    Same.

It's normal. What it is? Dunno.. but all of my cars have done the same thing. None had issues.

The reservoir is above the 'full' line. And the truck doesnt run hot by any means, just started to notice the noise and was trying to figure out the cause and/or a solution.

I don't imagine there is a solution, as a solution means there is a problem.

If it was the cabin air intake or the ac drainage, the sound woul not go away once the engine is warm though, correct?

Just a quick update. I tried burping the system. Some air did come out. But it is colder in the mornings now, and when i start the truck after sitting overnight, i get the same water rushing noise. But i also get a weird kinda knocking noise. It will come in spurts while the engine is still cold. Once the engine warms to operating temp, all sounds are gone. Anyone have any ideas?
