I'm a Benelli guy so my opinion would be of no use here.

I've heard good things about the Sx3 though.

A friend of mine had a 935 and likes it a lot but, if the choice were mine I think I'd go with the SX3. I actually considered one myself for a 3 1/2 gun but ended up winning a Remington 887 so that fit the bill for the few times I'd use it for geese. It's not a bad gun but doesn't really see much use because it's a backup for my M1 super 90.

I do like how light the sx3 is. But the price of 935 is had to beat. My legs has it for 590tax out the door.

My buddy has a 935 and likes it.

Personally, unless you are hunting goose a lot, 3 1/2 is overkill. 3 will kill ducks and turkeys all day.

I just want it in case I need it for late season ducks then been shot at and won't come in. Just hard to spend 1000 on a gun just for waterfowl. And this year they say they will alow rifle in my county. So

    Bingo, as I am.
I will say that Mossberg within the last few years gained respect in the shotgun biz. Living in Waterfowl heaven there are a to of locals that shoot them and the local gun shop has a hard time stocking them during season.

Engine freshly rebuilt due to blown head gasket, built my own CAI, EGR delete from LCEngineering, Billstein 5125's in the back with GM leafs, I can't stand paying for something that I can make in my garage so I built my own spacers for the front and tweaked them for 3" of lift.
I have the SBE II that I got for a hell of a deal, I also bought a Stoeger M3500 which is made by benelli to hunt the saltwater with and I wouldn't trade either for anything. I also have a weatherby SA-O8 that I hunt flooded clear cuts with and for $549 at BPS its a hell of a gun for the money, but its only 2 3/4 & 3in chamber.

I found my SBE II while out of town working for $1049. It was brand new but it had a scratch down the receiver from being dropped by employee.

I'm no help but I have a Beretta A400 Xtreme and if you want to save your shoulder shooting 3 1/2 I would recommend that besides that its way over the price range your looking at. Any of the guns listed above will fit your needs and as long as you knocking them out of the sky thats all that matters. I like to shoot a little bigger load bc down here in So Cal the birds are skiddish and hard to call in so when you hit one and it picks up after being downed in the water thats one of the worst feelings.

The new A5 shoots friggin awesome. I like it better than the maxxus. Plus it has no gas ports to freeze up. The price is steep though. I'll be sticking to the 870.

I have the 12ga and 20ga Affinity and a 12ga Intensity. They are made in Italy, fitted and finished very well.

I have both your 2 original choices, pattern wise the 935 will beat anything out for patterning steel, but handles like a cedar post. the SX-3 is light and nimble and has a slightly overbored barrel which helps with steel patterns, but it is a gas gun and will need a little more attention than an inertia gun.

I have a SBE II and a M2 and while I like them, I do not like their smaller than std bore, .723" vs the .729" bore of the Beretta 390/391/3901 and Franchi Affinity.

The really cool thing with the Affinity is, everything comes out the front, no need to ever remove the butt stock unless you need to adjust drop or cast.

I have ran my 20ga Affinity for well over 2 seasons and cleaned nothing but the bore with a bore snake, it had gotten slow towards the finish of our season here and I cleaned it finally, filthy is a understatement.

7yr bumper to bumper warranty too.

    Just my 2 cents.
