I tried waterless car wash on my 2015 blue ribbon limited. I was a little worried that the truck would get scratched. I worked great just be sure to have at least 5 micro fiber towels. I just thought I would pass it on. I used griots waterless car wash from advanced......

Never heard of the griots brand. But I use the stuff that was on dragons den every once and a while. Works pretty good as long as you don't have any mud build up.

I actually used the griots interior cleaner for the first time yesterday and if the stuff for the outside works as good as the interior cleaner then it definitly has my vote.

I use it on occasion too as long as the vehicle is not too dirty.

Hey! The search function worked! Though this is not for a Tacoma...

How would this product work on non-factory paint?

My 65 was painted at a bodyshop with a base coat, metal flake, and a clear coat. The truck sits in a garage under a cover and doesn't go out on anything other than clear, sunny days.

How do you guys think this will work for me?

Griots spray on wax works really well too.

On topic, Optimum No Rinse is good to use... but like others have said don't use waterless washes when the car is super filthy.

Truck is never dirty, but does get a light coat of saw dust as I get it out. It's easily blown off.

Thank you! It was my high school ride and it sat for about 10 years during college and my first career searches. Now she's back... good thing I have a job, because it always needs something done to it.

I’ve used Griot’s Speed Shine for a couple of years on various vehicles, including my Gen 1 and Gen 2 Tacomas. I like the stuff. It’s easy to use and leaves a clean, slightly slick surface with no streaking. I use it with Chemical Guys thick, edgeless microfiber towels.

I believe Speed Shine is a silicone-based system, which would normally be a real turnoff for me. I don’t like silicones for how they get on all the surfaces when applied even to a small area and how they can interfere with adhesion of tapes, paints, adhesives, whatever. I haven’t noticed any bad effects, however, from Speed Shine.

I’d give a solid recommendation to that product.

The same shit everyone else has.
The Opti no rinse is a greet product. I wouldn’t hesitate to use it on any base/clear.

If it’s just dusty and not dirty, I’d just use a quick detailer like Griot’s Speedshine or something to that extent.

Speed shine is one of my favorite products on the market

    Why?

This is an important clarification I shoulda mentioned too. Speed Shine is a “detailing” spray — if the vehicle is mostly clean already. While one might use it to clean a really dirty truck, that’s not what it’s best at.

I've been using Blackfire Wet Diamond Waterless Car Wash or Blackfire Rinseless Wet Diamond Car Wash. Both products work very well......

Yep. If the vehicle is dirty, the only thing that will work is lots of water/etc.
