I've been using ONR (Optimum No Rinse) for a few years now and recently switched to American Detailer Garage (ADG) Wipeout and I believe there are competitive, I just like supporting a small start-up and Billy is an awesome dude!

There are many ways to do the process safely.

    1. Microfiber towel method - Bucket filled with diluted no rinse solution, put in 4-5 towels in the solution, starting at the top of the vehicle wipe a panel down with damp towel (half the roof or hood is considered a panel), dry the panel off, flip the towel and move on to the next panel. When have used all the sides of that towel put it aside and grab a new one out of the bucket. I like to have a spray bottle with the solution to pre-soak certain areas, mainly the lower part of the panels where more road grime collects.

    2. Big Red Sponge method - Bucket with diluted no rinse solution and Grit Guard (very important), soak the sponge in the solution for an hour or so prior to washing, ring out the sponge till its damp, starting at the top of the vehicle wipe a panel down, place the sponge in bucket and rub against the grit guard to remove the contaminants, wipe the panel dry and continue. Some people like having a second bucket to "rinse" the sponge before putting it back in the no rinse solution, in my eyes if the vehicle is that dirty that you worry about that then the vehicle is too dirty to do a no rinse.

    3. No bucket, car show/maintenance - Have a bottle of no rinse solution pre-mixed, spray the panel down concentrating on the lower portions of the panel, spray the face of the towel with a few sprays, wipe the panel down, dry with a seperate towel, flip the towel and repeat. This is for light dust or after sitting for a while.

There are other methods but these are the "go-to" methods. In the summer I generally do 2 or 3 every few days. Takes about 20min and it stays clean and shiny, I don't garage my vehicle either. With the bucket I leave the sponge in the solution, and will use the solution for about 2 weeks as my vehicle is never really that dirty, if it is I properly wash it.

For microfiber towels, the best place I have found is The Rag Company. Very high quality towels and very reasonable prices.

The same shit everyone else has.
    What I do is...

If the truck is muddy, I’ll stop at the pay n spray on the way home from work. Throw 2 bucks into the machine and blast off all the big loose dirt. This typically will make it clean enough I’m comfortable using ONR on it.

I usually blast the major mud and dirt at a self serve car wash. Because the water here has a high salt content, it leaves white spots. I use a mild cleaner and microfiber towels to clean up the spots, then apply a spray-on wax.
