    Hi All,

I am looking for some cheap/free software to put a "watermark" on my pictures.

I have had someone claim some of my pics as his own and I want to do what I can to fix that. I know that posting pics on the internet makes them very subject to theft.

Thanks in advance for any help.

I use Lightroom to watermark my photos upon export (RAW to post-process to JPG). Though it's really small in the corner and can easily be removed. I only do it as a formality.

My real protection is registration of images with the US Copyright Office (http://www.copyright.gov/) on a regular basis (either monthly or after each project), and filing DMCA notices followed by settlement claims when infringed upon.
