+1 on drop bracket for rails!

Just spent some time looking at this. even with a drop bracket, my tonneau cover uses up my side rails.

I think i'll mount it on the front rail behind the cab that I put in. Will still need the drop bracket, but will be keep under the cover in the winter (I remove for the summer).

Went through two in the last 3weeks. Both leaked in the same exact spot and were pressurized to the manuals recommendation.

Mine is different. Yours looks to metal whereas mine is cheaper plastic fittings.

Just an idea. Fill it up with water and pressurize it as per instruction and completelysubmerge it in your bathtub upright and try to see if there’s any bubbles ( air leaks ) . This is how I check for air leaks after I patch my bikes tires years ago

Anyone find a lock that actually fits this thing? The bolt hole on the back side is so close to the unit I can't fit anything through it.

I used a pretty small padlock. You just have to start it from the inside of the bed going outward then twist as you’re putting it in

Mine works great except I have to repressurize it two times before the tank is empty (40psi).

And the cap had a lot of plastic shavings stuck in whatever grease they used, that I had to clean out of it.

Hmm, I wonder if you could attatch a pressure regulator to an on-board air compressor to maintain a constant 40 psi until the tank is empty.

I have the original and love it...jumped on the Costco deal and received/installed the new one over the weekend. I'll be testing them against one another this week!
