Haven’t got to use my WaterPort a ton yet. But it has been on 3 road trips so far.

I recently had heart surgery and hope to be in my truck more within a couple more months.

Overall... at the price point I bought in at, I am satisfied.
Had I paid $199, I would have expected stronger and easier to use mounting options.

Ultimately I had to buy my own t-slot nuts and bolts for mount. Needed to add washers as spacers because it doesn’t line up with the front rail. Although it works fine on side rails.

Also, I found it safer to ratchet strap the handle to my bed rack because of the amount of flex on the mount looked unsafe on its own. It’s very hard to remove unit from mounting plate. My back plate on the Water Port already had top washers removed, as if they were removed during manufacturing so it would actually allow to slide on the mount. I know some members that have removed theirs after delivery to get a better fit. I feel the design is flawed and removing the washers was a band aid that got slapped on. Unfortunately,
the back plate hardware is rusting only after minimal use.

The hose is too short. And the shutoff valve leaks.

I tried a bike pump and it didn’t garner the pressure that a hose did. Although when filling with the hose, it holds pressure for at least a week. The pressure seems to peter out with 1/2 to 3/4 gallon left.

I’ll ultimately need to spend $70-$80 (most likely more) on different mounting options, pump cap, longer hose, etc.

I’m giving this product 7/10 based on its performance and quality. Had I paid $199 and still needed to spend $100 I might not be as happy with the purchase. WaterPort does have amazing customer service, and are very responsive. So I give them extra points for that.

Look forward to using my WaterPort more often later this summer!

This review is SPOT ON! If I didn't have a drawer system that the waterport sat on - I would be extremely unhappy with the flex in the mounting system. I agree with every bit of this review - thanks for putting it together. I'm too lazy. :)

No problem. I think I inadvertently hijacked the Group Buy thread when I created this thread about the deal @ Costco. I promised a review after so many people showed interest in the product. Finally have the time to write up my experience :D

    Hi Guys,

Thank you for the reviews, we take all of your feedback in making our system better and more durable. I want to note one thing about the flex. If you use half of a bar mount that is provided in the kit on the back of your universal mount you will have 0 flex when on your bed rail(see photo). As for heating up your system we suggest adding hot water through your sink or boiling water when camping!

About a 1/2” gap. Used 3 washers as spacers. Looks like a lot more support!
Thank you for the tip. Couldn’t find my hardware for this particular application in the kit I received. Although, I lost my owners manual so maybe the hardware
for this support disappeared at the same time. Found something in the shed that worked.

Those you have bought replacement tnuts, what thread did you buy?

I have the original nuts and bolts for the waterport, but I'm missing 2 t nuts, and 2 bar clamps so I can't mount it to anything yet

These look to be back up for sale on costco's website. Anyone care to share the price? I don't have a Costco account, but I could find someone if the price is right

    I moonlight at Costco.

A lot of online items can be purchased without a membership, but there's a 5% surcharge. Some items are "member-only", such as the WaterPort, which does require a membership for purchasing online.

The WaterPort is $169.99 right now. I'm thinking about picking one up.

I’ve had mine for a while now and it’s definitely a must for surfing. I’m just having trouble keeping the water pressurized through a full tank. It only works fine for about 10 seconds. I have to use a bike pump every time until it runs out of water. I followed all the instructions given to me by the support so far but it’s still happening. They have great support by the way. They reply fast.

I know for sure it’s not the tank because it keeps a strong pressure until I use it.

The last thing they asked me to do is to put the tank underwater to find leaks. That seems like too much work so I haven’t done it yet. I think it’s either the hose or the head.

    Anyone else having similar problems?

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
I fill mine up with water then use a bike pump to get to 45psi (I think) and only get half a take to come out. Then pump it up again and it still leaves a bit of water inside when the pressure runs out
