Whats the difference between the cheaper waterport they sell on costco and the more expensive one sold direct through the manufacturer?

Thinking about selling mine. Bought it, and don't really have a need for it any longer.

ETA - not looking to ship.

If you are using the rail mount it comes with … it does have a way to lock it so you can't slide it off the mount - using a padlock. not sure about the other two mounts (hitch and roof rack) that it also shifts with.

it is "self pressurized" when you fill it from a garden hose... around 45 psi I've found. (like many here, I installed a pressure gauge on it). it does lose pressure over a few weeks... you can add pressure through a nozzle on the side using a bike pump, or with the new pump cap (came out after my version).

I lost the cap for the schraeder valve. Does that matter? Will I lose pressure without it?

It would be like losing the cap to your tire valve or a bike tire valve.

So I can't seem to pressurize it using a bike pump via the Schraeder valve. The pump does not transfer any air into the waterport. The same bike pump works fine for the bike tires. I connect it to waterport, and pump air, but he pressure gauge immediately spikes up and none of the air/pressure gets through. What could I be doing wrong?

Interesting.... not actually putting it on the valve correctly or having a blocked valve only thing I can think of..

For those of you wondering if the waterport mounts under a Softopper on a long bed with the mounts provided in the Costco kit? The answer is yes. Fits perfectly and works great so far. To actually lower the softopper you do have to remove the tank, but that is easy with the quick mount system. The mount can stay in place and I can lower and raise the topper without issue.

Taking it camping this weekend and hoping to get a lot of use out of cleaning dishes/kayaks and other camp related items and it will also be an emergency water source for me too. Access to the tank and hose when I attach it will be easy with the topper too as I can roll up the front corner to access the tank when ever I need it without having to climb in the back.

So, aside from price is there any difference between the Costco and Sportsman's warehouse waterport?

Im wondering if you can leave this on the truck through the winter or if the freezing temperatures will cause the water inside to freeze and break it
