Yes. You'll need to order the drop bracket

Thanks. Seems like a better option than a $40 bracket.

Ordered, $150 shipped (Ca charges sales tax on mail order), base price was $139. Cool. Gonna mount it on my roof rack, passenger side. Don't really care about the hitch mount, T mounts for Taco, or neoprene sleeve if anyone wants them...

Think about dropping the Hilift to the floor secured with cord? Does it need to be displayed? Don't have one yet, but it seems like it would lie flat and hardly move around even on the trails. That way you can move the water tank to the front rail and get your storage box back.

My waterport is in the garage for the winter(don't want it freezing). When I went to run the water out of it(using the hose and nozzle) it only had about a 5-10 second usable stream. After that it was just barely running out.

    how much? :

    http://thewaterport.com/videos/

"How to operate", skip to 1:40.

    And where did it go?

If you don't use the shut off valve, air can and will leak through the hose and sprayer.

Edit: Additionally, you house water pressure may not have been sufficient.

How "sloppy" is your water port on the mount ? Mine Rattles and moves around like a Some Bish... Thinking about trying to shim it so its a "tight fit"

I used a Relentless Fab quickfist Mount to bolt the Waterport bracket to. It is extremely solid and there is no play. It also drops it down a bit. Bolting the Waterport bracket directly to the rail causes a lot of play and stress on the rail because the bottom of the bracket isn’t supported.

I would agree 100% I emailed WaterPort and they responded right away and took care of any questions and concerns I had. Good company!

Yup! Mines came in super fast from Costco! $27 shipping to Hawaii, but that’s the price you pay to live 2,000 mines from the nearest landmass.

why not build one for about $60 or less..

4" black PVC pipe in about a 10ft length for $10 or so.. cut to 5ft
2-4 6"pipe clamps/band clamps (to mount to roof rack/bed rack)
1 end cap (drill for spigot (undersized hole, heat up spigot with lighter/torch to make threads in PVC, or use washers/rubber to seal to cap, and use a nut on backside)
garden hose spigot screw on type ($4-5)
1 90degree elbow (to fill it while mounted)
4" screw on cap (clean out)
schrader valve ($2, or free if you know people)
just unscrew the screw on cap to fill with water in the AM, or before your trip starts, or boil a litre or so of water, and pour it in with cold water for more instant, or if you forget to fill it.. ,

pressurize with you tire inflator/ARB/Viair, and go!! just be sure to mark a fill line to leave room for the air.. need the air to pressurize it, otherwise it'll be a slow trickle... schrader valve should be above the water level so you dont damage your air pump.

PVC pipe will if properly sealed easily handle 40-60 PSI, just check for cracks/leaks periodically. you shouldnt leave it pressurized when not in use anyways..

clean it after/before every trip with either a vinegar solution, or put a capful of bleach to every so often to kill any algae that WILL grow in any of these setups..

DO NOT DRINK THIS WATER!! for bathing, and cleaning dishes ONLY.

length determines capacity every linear foot of 4" PVC is just over .5gal so 5ft would be roughly 2.5gallons with the 90degree turn out, and the screw cap that

I quoted the prices of most of the supplies from Home Depot other than the $8-10 for the PVC glue/primer. easily under $60 that water tank/spigot, the hose could be a 3ft leader hose from the garden dept for $4. I would not drink from due to the fact that its sitting in your bed, and water grows things when not properly treated/cleaned.. 2.5gal is subjective on the length of the pipe. 4" PVC holds 0.5426gal per foot so its actually 2.71gal for 5 ft.. and at 6ft its 3.2556gal. if you went to a 6" pipe its 1.02gal per foot so even a 4ft section would make 4.08gal. the idea of the PVC homebrew is a cheaper alternative for those that dont have $130-150 (and like me dont have a costco nearby, nearest one is in Danvers MA over a 4 hour 138 mile drive away). not to mention most of us like a project.

youre still going to need more than 3.8gallons of water.. still need a jerry can or two of it for a longer haul trip.
