As mentioned already, volume and size are fluid parameter. The bigger the pipe, the bigger the volume. As a custom piece pvc too can be removable and mounted on any vehicle. Since it’s built by me, the customer service is exceptional and there is no defects/leaks and IF (big if) there were you just fix it. Also, pvc is considered “food grade”. Seems like there is no piper hand one to another, other than price.

At the end of the day, as also mentioned, it’s about being bought vs being built. Some prefer one over the other. I built mine pecause I take pride in knowing I made it and I can customize it to fit my majority custom built platform. I paid $80 to build mine and it holds 5 gallons of water, has a quick disconnect Co2 port, water line to pump and a quick disconnect 25 foot coil water hose and nozzle from Amazon. I also have an in-line on demand propane water heater between the pump and the hose which cost another $120. And the 12v pump mentioned was $25. All in for on demand hot water for $225.

FYI, to those worried about water going bad. Go to your local home brew store and get a cleaner and sanitizer. Clean between fills and seasons and when you pressurize the tank, use Co2. Co2 will create a neutral environment that is hard for organisms to grow.... unless they are anaerobic, but the cleaning will take care of that.

Does anyone have any recommendations for cleaning the inside of the tank? It seems that everytime I fill it directly from the tap on my sink, and pressurize it with a pump, the water comes out like a milky white. At first I was thinking it was just aerated water due to the pressurization but it still looks the same even after it sits for 5 minutes or so. Any suggestions?

Mine bounces on the hitch mount. Might bring some shims home from work to take the slop out.

Sixteen months ago since I wrestled with it. I think so? You might have to find the right lengths for your topper.

I just got a rinsekit + on their online store, with the heater tube, refill funnel, pressure pump, and towel for $179.. they had a 20% off promo, and I figure for that money, the ability to have a shower on demand (when i remember to plug in the heater) is an awesome feature. Being a hard case, it'll fit easily in my bed with the rest of my gear, and hold an extra 3 gallons of water for cleaning dishes, and daily cleanup..

this is an AC to DC power source for using with a CB/HAM radio setup, or RC car/aircraft lipo charging (have this for my Trex450 helicopter)..

RinseKit + (adventure bundle) was $179 with code for $20 off

took it out of the box, with the commercial box inside of it..
    included in the box was:
*box with resivoir, hose, and nozzle ready to go with 2 screw off plastic caps on heater, and booster pump holes
    *sink adapter (brass)
*garden hose adapter (plastic) both adapters link into the nozzles quick adapter
*heater rod with thread adapter, and wrench for both sizes
*boost pump with integrated guage (65PSI max)
*silicone flat collapsible refill funnel for refilling unit in trail/where no running water is available..
*super soft quick drying towel/seat cover (its like a chamois cloth)

everything was well packaged, and even in their boxes they fit into the rinsekit + case.

    Setup:
Instructions were kinda vague, but I understood the principle of the device so intuitive for me, but would have been nice of them to specify which port for the heater rod, and which is for the booster pump.. I put the booster pump on the left side, and the heater rod in the right port (more centered on the unit)

within 5 minutes I was screwing the heater rod, and the booster pump into the base.. came with a wrench of the heater rod, and thread adapter.. the hose length is such that at 6'3" I can leave the base on the ground, and hold the nozzle over my head. hose is probably 1/2" OD cloth covered hose.. heater rod cord is around 8ft (WILL MEASURE MORE ACCURATELY LATER ON.).. and the booster pump handle sits proud of the mount surface about 3 inches, and pumping it is super easy (not hard to push down at all)..

    1st use:
I hooked up the provided brass nozzle to my kitchen sink, no issues and filled with warm water.. took about 2 minutes to fill on town water 60PSI on 1/2" PEX.. I made hte mistake of not tightening the booster pump all the way,, and some water came out the threads.. I turned off the sink spigot, and turned the hose line shutoff valve.. I tightened the pump down (has a top o-ring), and turned the valve, and water faucet back on, and ran for another 20 seconds.. turned the fill valve off first, then the faucet as er instructions, to keep pressure in the unit. I removes the quick connect from the sink adapter and moved the unit outside to test it.. I gave the booster pump a few pumps, attached the sprayer nozzle and was suprised at the pressure it had.. easily on par with my garden hose, albeit a bit less flow (GPM) due to the smaller hose diameter.. the nozzle does feel a bit cheap (and it leaks a few drips, and I may replace it later with a nicer metal orbital nozzle) (i believe the quick connect is a standard garden hose plastic type).. the unit I tried on all spray patterns on the nozzle... mist, shower, jet, center, and angled. ( I believe these are the settings on it, at work now).. the center seems to be the best all around pattern for cleaning/rinsing/showering, with shower being second, but loses pressure, and uses water faster...

I drained it dry through the hose, and packed everything into the hard case.. I had a prior engagement to go to.. will do more testing on it tonight.. specifically the heater rod on my 12v outlet in the Tacoma...

I saw a YouTube video that took 73 degree water to 95 in 30 minutes and it took 90 to get to 103 using the 12vplug with a Goal Zero battery pack so really interested in the heater test

Where did you see the code for $20 off? I am almost sold on this especially if it works well for the 12v on your truck.

honestly I've kind of abandoned the 12v heater.. its so slow to heat water... needing like 90 minutes for a 20-25 degree gain.. I prefer just removing the plug on the top of th eunit, and using a funnel to fill it with hot water i made on my camp stove.. it works really well this way.. I fill it with almost a half and half of boiled water, and 60ish degree water from my jerry can.. once full.. I seal it up, give about 40-60 pumps on the booster pump to get pressure, and I was able to take a decent shower.. spray down, lather up, scrub, and then rinse off... felt really nice to get clean after being on the trails for 2 days, campfire smell, and sweat from lugging firewood, and chopping.
