magb, you prefer it sitting ontop of the mounting plate? VS recessed? Looks great glad you got it installed!

No stress. I can invoice you and get the build started if you want. Just pm me and I'll note on the invoice not to ship till I get the proper measurements.

Man. I might need to just pay an electrician to set this box up for me lol. With the electronics I'll be running, I want some on constant power (to be used with the truck off but switched) and then some higher draw stuff to be ran off ignition. The thought of wiring all that makes my head hurt lol

Actually I wanted it recessed but the cut out that I did isn't that nice :p, I will probably make another one but this time CNC'd...

    Thanks!

Volcom: It's not that hard, right now I wired the upper 40" LED bar, the bed LEDs, a couple of spot lights that are on my bull-bar, the trailer/pulling equipment, and a 20" LED bar that lights up the back (for camping purposes), if you have basic knowledge on electrics you should be able to do it, plus, if you ever have an issue YOU know what needs to be done.

    Skygear,

Hope you had a productive weekend? Did you get to paint the plates and will they be shipped this week? I am meeting with a friend to clean up my wiring and all this weekend and I want to get the box wired in as well.

I made it through the first 10 or so pages. Forgive the premature question before reaching page 50-something :)

Has there been a mount built for a first gen?

I have the 3.4 without ABS. I don't mind mounting it near the passenger side firewall where the ABS unit usually sits.

My hope for these will be a harness replacement. Eliminating the need for ANY breaker inline.

Basically, you would take the existing harness for the power and remove it. Put this one in its place.

Price point on these is not where I was expecting. Right now I am being quoted almost ~$100 each for the 100 amp and ~$140 for the 200 amp

Looking at it from a different angle though. If you are already buying a breaker to put inline, this will be a similar price point as a Blue Sea Breaker in similar amp rating. These just have better features. Basically, this is what SPOD is using for their 'Self Healing Circuit'

    200 amp Blue Sea Panel Mount 7049 https://www.bluesea.com/products/7049/187-Series_Circuit_Breaker_-_Panel_Mount_200A $111.39

    100 amp Blue Sea Panel Mount 7044 https://www.bluesea.com/products/7044/187-Series_Circuit_Breaker_-_Panel_Mount_100A $84.96

Has some better features too. I can have these custom configured too.

Haha I wired everything in my truck as well, radio, bed lights, PA system, 3 front leds, all the switches, a nice blue sea box and everything is all heat shrinked and purty...do I want to do it again? Fuck no lol. That was a full day of tearing everything out that was wonky, and redoing it all, and almost getting heat stroke because I'm so OCD I wouldn't stop working till it was done and then I go done and drank a gallon of water and passed out for like 4 hours. I'll pay someone to do it and then just have them point out to me what they did so I can fix it later if it breaks. Bam.

Chances are you are going to pay a couple hundo for them to so the electrical work due to the time involved. You could use your frequent flier miles and fly me out there to do it. I do offer the free install and if using flyer miles, doesn't cost you anything. Just feed me ;) Plus, I would teach you as I go so in the future it wouldn't be so intimidating.

Hah! I has no flyer miles or I'd think about it lol. Yea I know I'll pay for it, but that's what everything comes down to, do I want to do it myself, or pay someone else to do it.

Do you have a source where I can get them at a better pricing? Less I pay for them, the savings is passed on to the masses.
