Another question lol.. The Harness for the Relay have 13 wires.

    • [10][Multi-Color] For the ON Switches providing 12V to Relay
    • [1][RED] from Positive Bus providing 12V for the switches (7.5A Fuse)
    • [1][RED] not Terminated for i suppose 12V from Ignition switches or High Beam relay? (Create a Conditional ON)
    • [1][BLACK] that i can't trace - No continuity to ground or anything i could find on the box, what is that wire for? and where does it connect to on the box?

    See picture below:

    Thank you for the Help,

    Peter

Ok the skinny red wire that comes out of the loom is for powering the switches when the truck is turned on (by using an add-a-fuse). The thicker red in the bundle is for constant power. Ex. say for a cb or something. And the red that's in the bundle is for powering the switch. The black is for the ground on your switches. Say like if you had the switch backs skygear sells. You can see in my pic the red and black being connected
If I confused you a bit, my bad. Lol

Tacodane! Great, thank you so much for the replies!

Ok so for the Red wires it is now clear :)

The thick black wire is still a little obscure to me, you used it for your switch ground, but when i test the continuity of it with the ground wire on the box, i have nothing. Do i have a bad connection there?

I also tested the continuity with the weather pack connectors and got nothing. I am trying to figure out where it is connected too on the box, it should be ground doesn't it?

The black wire in the loom , I used as a ground. I have three switches connected and I don't have any issues with lighting or operation. So yes it's a ground

Lucky I know how to use them then ;). Truth is, I do not want to skimp on the PROPER tool to do the deutsch connectors. Having used one of these when I was at NASA, you never want to go back to the lesser quality product.[/QUOTE]

Sorry to get off topic and bring up a sore subject but....you used to work at NASA? I now see why DEPT of Homeland Security was so interested in you here a while back..lol

Found It, it is actually the ground of the F2 Breaker/relay! So i have 9 relay on the common bus ground and 1 relay (F2) on an independent ground. I guess it is to add the possibility to use the ground as a switch instead of the 12V. Just through me off a little lol...

Thanks Dane for answering questions. Was helping out another member all day with an Icon install.

yes, peter. all that is correct. The long red wire is for the ignition on if you choose to use it for that. If not, you can just coil it and not use it. Thick black is the ground.

Anyone know if a staff is on? Admin or mod?
