Completely understand! I miss doing some of the wiring I used to. But rewiring from back to front of an aircraft on every aircraft on base (Tankers), 12 hour shifts until they were done. That was where I finally gave up on loving it.

Helped a friend wire some P3's up. That was a real eye opener as a young man.

I hate Adel clamps. The ones without the self locking parts. HATE them. And string tie. Every 6 inches. :frusty:

So glad I get to watch Boeing techs do it these days.

I really wish I could. Boeing has better tool control than any military unit ever has... Otherwise I would have a handful of good tools.

Just busting your chops. Have a buddy at Lockheed locally. He was complaining to me about an inventory control issue involving office supplies and them not being checked out properly. Would never ask or encourage anyone to do anything off canter that could jeopardize their freedoms.

Hey sky, when wiring up something simple say like some lights using a five pin spst switch. What is the preffered relay to use, a 4 or a 5 pin? What would be the reason to choose one over the other?

A simple 4 pin will do. You won't have the need for the 87a pin in the center

Isn't the idea behind the 5th pin to activate the relay via a 2nd method? Say for example you want a lightbar to come on with highbeams or rear lights to come on when you put it in reverse. If so why would you use a 4 pin when you could use a 5 pin? Never know what changes you will make and how you will want your accessories activated.

That's correct. Its all a matter of opinion. But if that's the case then a five pin would work best

Is there a bit of a list somewhere showing what accessories would need to run through a relay or fuse. I'm trying to convince myself that I could use one of these boxes, but struggling to do so. Right now I am adding on heated side mirrors, and possibly a light bar in the future... but some of the other obvious things that would be relayed I just don't see myself adding on in the future.

Product looks awesome, and you seem like a great guy to buy from... just need to see if I can justify the purchase.

I know I sent you an email a while back then I didn't reply back lol. Completely forgot I sent it with things being so busy. I'd also like to be on some sort of list to place an order as soon as you begin taking more.

Totally worth the wait! Quality takes time. No idea how skygear can spend countless upon countless hours rigging these boxes and still function as a human being. :annoyed:

Anyways, I just hooked up my bed/cap lights on a prop switch last weekend... man did this box make it easy and clean. Still by FAR one of my favorite mods.
