So I've put an order in with you late Jan, early Feb....maybe it would help guys out if you posted a thread with all the orders you are tracking with the submission date. As you make them you can update it.....and it would probably make everyone feel a lot better to know you actually are working on their stuff. Just a suggestion because I haven't heard anything from you since March. Thanks

Anybody ever come up with a good easy spot to connect their illumination wire for rocker switches, that utilize the dimmer knob function?? I thought I had it but i spliced into one of the wires coming off the back of the dimmer and the damn lights dim backwards from the dash lights! Anybody got any info on the subject? I'm very much a wiring novice!

    First gen!!

Sounds like you tapped the green with white stripe wire which is toyota's negative illumination to the positive illumination of your switches. Toyota handles the switch dimming by introducing positive volts to their illumination ground wire.

The LEDs in your switches can't be dimmed the same way the rest of your switches dim. However if you tap the green (without stripe) Toyota wire for positive on your switches you should at least get them to light up when your other switches are lit. They just won't be able to dim.

Ahh thanks buddy, good to know! The two switches I have now are arb rockers and they for some reason use incandescent bulbs still so these still dim. But I'm getting ready for several more and they are all led. So sounds like I need to scrap the dimming idea and just focus on getting them lit?
Is there a suitable fuse under the dash I could utilize an add a fuse to illuminate the switches with the dash lights?

No problem. There is likely a fuse behind the coin tray that is only hot when your headlights come on. That being said you should be able to tap a green wire from a factory lit switch supplied to your positive illumination and then ground your negative switch illumination to the chassis. Both should accomplish the same.

With led lit switches I know some have used some sort of module (forget the name of it) to dim LEDs. From what I understand it flickers the led on and off faster than the eyes can really register to give a dimming effect.

This isn't entirely true. I have at least one led switch and it dims. I'll try to get a diagram of how I hooked it up soon.

Yeah if you wouldn't mind. I've heard so many times that it can't be done but to be fair I don't have any led switches so have never tried it myself.

Ah crap I missed that. All of the wire colours I just referenced were for 2nd gen.
