what does everyone use for waterproofing exterior tents and add-ons?

I have a Envoy XUV rear topper tent I’d love to keep waterproofed.

I been using Nikwax water proofing for 3 years now however it is only for synthetic fabrics not for cotton or the likes so they say. I been doing it in the spring when it gets warm with good sunshine to help dry the spray so far no issues. I am sure there are other stuff that is just as good but I found this at local camping supply store reasonable price.

Shit well this is probably nylon so that would probably work. I’m pretty sure the answer is that or rub it down in some kind of synthetic wax. I have DWR spray I use on my wet weather gear, typically tents too. I’d assume this would work but I think there might be a better alternative.

I stay away from rubbing it down with a "wax" I use to do that before and the results were so so for all the time and work it takes, the Nikwax is just a spray on and you can see if you miss a spot and do it fast in under and hour.

Spray on sounds like a better option. I think a rub down would be better for canvas etc.

The question remains, what’s the best spray on?

Yup. Got it. That’s what I’m going to use. I use nikwax for all my outdoor gear. All the expensive shit anyways.
