I’d like to see the market research that led to this choice over popular colors like Army Green or Lunar Rock.

Halo trims are less about maximizing profit from those sales and more about driving aspirational purchases of lower trims. similar to how the ford gt was a likely money loser but probably drove people toward mustangs.

they’ll sell every single wave maker colored pro they make. Same with the (imo) ugly lime green. It stands out and serves as a billboard for people who see a Tacoma and recognize it as such. Even if it’s bad attention, it’s good.

that said, I think it’s cool as hell

We all question Toyota's market research because they aren't offering manual diesel xtracabs with front lockers, but the marketing guys who get bonuses based on sales are all smiling.

Many of the Xtracabs I inquire about sell quickly or are presold some don't look like they move at all, I'm sure Toyota knows what they are doing.

I don't think a Super Duty Ranger would sell well in the US but look what Ford is doing in Australia with the Ranger and Everest last time I looked Ranger was outselling Hilux in Australia.

    Ditto for Terra. :puke:

The 2005 and 2006 Ford GT's are so cool. :burnrubber: The McIntosh stereo rocks. :headbang: For a car that was $150k ish new with only 4 options they've really skyrocketed in value.

I think Toyota already has the reliability and rough and tumble vibes with their outdoor, 4x4 and long time owner/buyer following. Color doesn't really play into it imo, but to each their own.

I'll add I've seen some unique firearms cerakoted in teals, purples, pinks, ect. I don't think the color makes it any less of a firearm.

It's not "over" army green or lunar rock as those were Pro colors as well.

I wish Sea Doo would bring back the purple scheme from 2021 on their newer RXT-X 325's. It would match my 03 CR250R.
