Agreed that a good paint sealant can provide a really nice shine. (And they're so easy to apply and remove!) I might take issue with them lasting a year though. At least I've never had one last that long. As to your qualifier "if applied and maintained properly," most people apply one and never touch it again. Besides, isn't that the beauty of a longer lasting topper for your paint no maintenance?

This is close to correct except who in their right mind is going to pay 1000 dollars? Well the corvette crowd will as will doctors, lawyers and others with money to burn.
My advice find the detail supply shop in your city and buy the ceramic at jobber prices, usually under 100 dollars. Difficult to apply?? Only if you can’t follow simple directions.

He is not referencing consumer coatings and the $1000 price would include paint correction. Pro coatings like GTechniq Crystal Serum are harder to apply than say their Crystal Serum light. They claim to fix you have to sand it off. Pro coatings are not available to public as you have to be an installer for the brand.

No to get too of topic but usually when someone pays this much they are receiving a 2-step paint decontamination, 2-3 step paint correction, then ceramic coat. This process can take upwards of 25 man hours on one vehicle. A minimum of a one-step paint correction is usually recommended before ceramic coating because the coating will actually make paint imperfections such as swirls, haze, and scratches more noticeable instead of hiding them for a couple weeks like carnauba wax. With that being said if you're a DIY guy, just make sure you decontaminate the paint so the ceramic bonds well! It will still look awesome either way.

I can only tell you having worked in the industry that if you took 25 hours to do a vehicle you’d starve to death.

I recently watch a YouTube video from pan the organizer about that product. He usually speaks highly of turtle wax products.

I don't use wax very often anymore unless its Adams spray wax or jay leno's carnauba wax with a machine polisher. I get longer lasting protection from sealants with the same or more gloss.

Let us know how you like it.

Some of my favorites waxes/hybrids an sealants. 2 coats of Conolite 845. 2 coats of FK1000. Mcguires D156 doesn't last long but cheap an easy to use even as drying aid, good on lots of things.
Wolfgang deep paint gloss sealant. Polish Angel master sealant, rapid wax, Cosmic spritz.
If a car has sealant or wax I might add a topper like
Pinnacle Souveran Paste Wax for car show etc but it doesn't last but looks great.

No, I get it. this is in theory 10 waxes, plus ceramic and Graphene. I have no dog in the fight, just trying it out. good review here, Apex Detailing: Turtle Wax 75th Birthday Ceramic/Graphene Paste Wax!! - YouTube

That said, this will just be a base cpl times a year, I will top it with the liquid Turtle Wax Flex (liquid), or my current Aerolon Buy Tech Shine™ 16oz Bottle and Pad | Aerolon Professional Detailing Products

We will see how it goes! just ready for weather I can detail in!

Everyone that's tried it seems to really love it. I wonder if they'll continue to sell this stuff full time or keep it limited edition. I guess I need to order a can now.

I've used Turtle Wax Hybrid products with great results

Can't see why 75th anniversary products wouldn't perform well

For wax: Any of the Collinites - all are great waxes.

I am currently running Meguars Ultimate Fast Finish on my black 5 series, and almost a year, is still beading and very shiney. I get asked if its a southern car due to the quality of the paint (2015, 75K miles) I also like Griots 3-1 ceramic spray, I used this on my wife Subaru and almost a year, same results, shiney, glowing, beading... got through a winter. Great depth. HD Montan wax is OK, but doesn't have the durability, but is easy to apply.
