even with the tent bolted down tightly when it was against the side rails i still had it bumping on/off the rack (it was less than the current two bars bolted together). only way i see getting rid of that is giving it adequate space without anything to bump into for 1/4in or so. might just find some plywood to chop up for the time

 

I just ordered some of these u channel extrusions. My plan is to use them as spacers with the channel facing down (to route wires thru) and then bolt thru them to my cross bars.

I'm using a CBI bed rack but will have a similar situation to you Prinsu guys in that the side rails sit a tiny bit above the cross bars.

 

Does anyone have high resolution photos for their tent? I am looking for a good side profile photo with a neutral background that shows the tent well along with a couple of other angles that show the tent being used, photos must be hi res. This is for my website, which will host the new platform for the tents along with future developments.

 

Anyone have photos of the tent on a long bed? im running a bed rack with an eezi awn k9 rack and it sits flush with the roof. Trying to determine if overhang is minimal or some riser brackets need to be made to overhang over the roof instead of the tire swingout.

You can grab a HDPE cutting board at your local big box store and cut sections to the size you want. One would probably cost less than one puck and be able to make enough for the whole project.

no worries man, my setup is an odd one. I dont run a over cab rack only a rack over the bed.

 

So is this an alibaba tent? If so what is it based off of?

 

I would look at one of the long bed trucks with a tent and try to visualize it against your truck. Do you have a side profile picture of your truck?

 

He has good pictures I just the full res ones. And his truck is a shortbed btw

 

new rack is coming by end of work week. I will get a side shot up once its on.

I may be getting out this weekend (either in the woods somewhere or by a lake) .. if so, I'll see if I can borrow a camera to take some high res pics for you. Otherwise, I can still do it but might be a few weeks before I buy a camera (been eyeing one for a while but havent pulled the trigger).
