Will this include a mattress inside of some type as well? Also will I still be able to add an awning onto the roof rack with the tent up? Lastly ladder?

Wonder how hard it would be to screw an awning to the top of it...

    Interested in this.

I also love the look of a hard shell RTT mounted on a bedrack to the same height as the cab, especially since I need to park the truck in a garage with low ceiling.

@ChandlerDOOM what bed rack would you recommend if you were to run your RTT on a SB?

Usually all RTT's, being soft or hard, include a mattress and ladder.

For adding the awning.. you would have to set up some sort of rack or mount on the tent shell itself to mount it... Probably wouldn't recommend it since it would put way too much weight and stress on one side.

Yes mattress and ladder included. Like mounting a awning to the side of the rack that the tent is also mounted to? Depends on the rack and how the awning is mounted but with prinsu it is still a possibility, you'll need to use a spacer since the tent has a little bit of over hang on the rack.

This weekend I'll do my best to mock mount my awning

To the side of the tent? Yeah I wouldn't do that

That's a good question, I've never really looked at bedracks. I think any would be fine so long as it's flat at the top, has two cross bars, and the front cross bar not too close to the cab.

Yeah not recommended to mount to the tent shell itself, even my 4ft arb is a little heavy and that would only damage the tent

Something to consider regarding shipping -- pallet freight dock-to-dock is surprisingly affordable.

The delivery from the dock to the customer can cost more than dock-to-dock cross country, but since we're dealing with folks who own pickups they can get their own stuff from the dock and save a ton.

If that's the case I have a dock at work where all the CO guys can have a pallet shipped.

That is dock to dock shipping, I don't see one having shipping less than $150 through a carrier. It's not like they are small items where a handful of things can be bunched together unfortunately.

I am talking to a somewhat local guy that said he could help with shipping logistics through the company he works for, so hopefully it's something good

I could make an impromptu trip to Moab to pick up the tent if need be :D

That would cut your drive to deliver it to me in half if that was the case.

:annoyed:. I wish I could get in on this. only style RTT I'll consider and I got no money for it now.
Maybe this comes around again next year? :fingerscrossed:

So I had a chat with a guy that deals in shipping today, I heard some good things and is going to get back to me on monday. Still planning on what I have in my head right now just so I can ensure this shipment goes as expected and maybe the second one ill hand over the reins

Its looking like end of the weekend we will have more than enough people, I will keep the list going even after 38. Some people may bail so don't let your number on the list deter you if you are interested.

Timeline follows as- from payment 30 days until shipment, about a week at sea, a day or two in customs, 2-4 days until received depending where you live.
