Waypoint RTTs, OP updated 6/7

OK...so is there a website? Cuz I can't find it in the threads and I googled. I love the adjustments that have been made since Gen 1. Telescoping ladder that hooks on the outside and FULL zippered entries and overhangs. Those two things alone are huge. Zippered entries keeps the bugs out! Thinking I may ditch my James Baroud Space I bought used for one of these. I want a full pop up and not a wedge and I feel the JB tent is grossly overpriced for the quality. Only concern is all the straps for closing and pulling down. How are you guys keeping those secure from flapping around for us light sleepers? One thing I love is the JB latches. So easy and secure. Other than that...

Awesome! Thanks! Also...anyone looking for a cheaper alternative for a condensation mat. Found this on another camping/overlanding site. I ordered some and put it in yesterday. I'm going to give it a go this weekend without the fancy fan my JB tent has in it that helps but doesn't get rid of condensation. See how it does. The CVT one isn't badly overpriced, but JB likes to overcharge for everything.

Curious to know how that works in the rtt. I had seen it also and almost pulled the trigger but I’m going to Bend in July/August so thought I’d pick up the anti condensation mat from CVT.

 

Just took some profile shots of the tent closed! I love this thing! Also I must mention my wind noise is minimal!

Yes it does. It comes with a telescoping ladder stored in a zippered bag which gets clipped in place in the tent so it doesn’t move around.

Got my tent Friday and couldn't be more happy. It's the large version in Black and Grey on a '13 DCLB with Alu Cab Explorer Canopy. More pics to come!

 

First time using the tent this weekend and I really enjoyed it. Deploying and putting back away was quick. I think I will add another layer of memory foam for comfort and find a way to tie off the four pull down ropes because they flap around and against the tent when it was windy.

Would you say you can opt for not buying these and still be able to mount your RTT with the Frontrunners roof rack?

 

Tent 1/2 Installed. Im a freak an compounded and sealed the shell since there was a haze over it. Much appreciation to Chandler. This is the large tent for anyone wondering. Looking forward to putting these things to good use for our trip to Zion in 4 weeks.

 

Made it home. Total mileage 10,491 along with 35 states covered.
