What do you have on the inside of the shell (under the mattress).

If only washers, i would suggest adding flat metal or a sheet of metal for each side to act as a large washer and spread the weight over more area. As it is, even if you have large fender washers, with the weight of the awning bouncing up and down over washboard roads will put a serious beating on the fiberglass around the washers.

I gotta agree with you here.. I did some driving on pretty rocky trails this weekend and I wasn't happy with how much the awning was bouncing around. The tent alone flexes a pretty good amount with my set-up so this wasn't helping anything so I'm going to leave it off.

But I did get out to spend a night in the tent!! Having vertical walls makes the tent feel super spacious and maximizes usable space inside. We got a little rain and kept perfectly dry inside too. Plenty of room for 2 humans and 2 dogs!

As of yesterday, about 5 more orders needed. I may just end up being one of the 5 if I get the CVT sold.

Some details to work out but a strong possibility. If so, we’ll have a boat to fish from when we camp.

If this GB sale lasts until the second week of August, I will be able to buy.
Waiting for a few things to happen first beforehand, mainly a house sale.
