Good evening. I have been lurking on this great board for quite awhile. I absolutely love the new Tacoma and planned to buy one this year. I was planning on buying my wife her vehicle next year. After reading all the problems the 2016 are having, we decided to swap it around. We ended up going with a Lexus LX570 for her. I still hope and plan to buy a new Tacoma this time next year. I really want the Inferno Double-cab Long bed Off Road with Tech-JBL bad. Given the problems so far, I just cannot see paying $40K and having to glue my hood, or worry about the transmission fluid filled properly, or worry about the transmission shifting correctly, etc.. Seems it is kind of a crapshoot if you get a good one or not.
I sincerely hope the quality going into the truck increases. Anyways, I genuinely appreciate the honesty of forums. You get real life info on how well a product is doing in most cases. I thank you all for posting your positive or negative experiences. I will Here is what we purchased, it even has Crawl Control!..lol. Have a great weekend!.....Steve

Yes, that is my wife in the pictures. We are very happy with the purchase. We had to drive 3 hours to Palm Beach to pick it up. We rented a car, but got upgraded to a new loaded Sienna mini-van. It drove wonderfully. Perfect shifting and strong with that 3.5L. I have high hopes Toyota will iron things out. Thank you for the kind responses.

Jesus f'ing christ is that that $90k+ V8 lexus that is meant to be extremely luxurious and conquer offroad trails as well? Basically a more luxury land cruiser?

I seriously hope I am in the position one day to buy one of those for my wife and still afford other vehicles for myself.

Congrats man, I'd never be able to offroad a 90k+ vehicle but congrats on the new vehicle and the hard work you've both done to get yourselves to be able to do that!

    Congrats on the new Lexus!

How did you make it from Jax to Palm Beach in three hours?! It takes me 2 just to get to Brevard if I'm feeling heavy in the foot! Haha

I'm very satisfied with my Tacoma, it's capabilities and quality. That said, my 200 series land crusier is in a different class entirely.

Missing My Last Tacoma --- Had 11 Toyota trucks in the past and many other Toyota cars too.
    .
OP ... I have had maybe 10-12 Toyota trucks and my Gen 3 has less issues than most of my past Toyota trucks.

I would not wait to get a Gen 3 ... IMO, Toyota will not make any big changes for 2 to 3 years and present models will get TSB's.

    Your new Lexus looks great.

Well I guess it's up for the mods to decide. I'm just saying I see where it's coming from. I don't think he's intentionally trolling

I understand what you are saying but you look at all of the BS that is posted in this section daily from clowns with no life that come here with no intention to add anything of use to this forum.

I see it, you see it, Mods see it, everyone sees it.
