Much truth..and to maybe network with other enthusiasts all over the place.

I didn't join TW until I bought my 2010, and then I just stumbled on it looking for a way to add intermittent wipers.

Dang! Lucky kid. My first vehicle was a 95 4runner when I turned 17 years old back in 2010. It was my father's ride. Wasn't free though, I bought it off him for $3000.

    Merry Christmas !
My 16 year old changed the oil in his Tacoma at 5000 miles. He installed interior LED lights earlier tonight. Even though several of his class-mates were given Ford Raptors for their 16th birthdays, he is proud of his 2WD 4 cylinder Tacoma. He just finished the semester with straight “A” grades while playing high school football… so he hasn’t given us a reason “yet” to take his truck keys.

Spoil em young! Gets it out of their system. He def won’t want a Raptor or Hellcat Dodge next.

But on a real note, if that kid likes Ricky Bobby’in and he looks like he does, you better get him w someone who can teach him to drift and control a vehicle sooner than later.

Definitely going to use "watch your own bobber"

We've talked before and you're doing it right, keep it up man.

Memories, my buddy in high school had a 69. June 1990 it was 3-4 different colours, took 10 minutes to start, looked like ass under the hood. First day of senior year he rolls up in this sweet white machine. I asked when he got it, he said "same car I've had"..opened the hood and all chrome, could eat off it. He had it painted and rebuilt the original 327 himself. Turns out it was in his family since day 1 as well.

What a coincidence! Lol! Same here. 1966 2 door Chevy Impala w/ a 283. Power glide transmission. Sucker smoked bad and had a crappy paint job.
The deal my sisters & I had with my parents was.
They’d match us with as much as we had saved for a vehicle. I had $750 saved so we bought that Impala for $1500.
    Got a job at 16.
After deciding that Impala would be too much work. I sold it and found another 2 door Impala with a 327 that ran great. Crappy paint job again though. It was sitting under a tree in an old lady’s front yard. Think I paid $2250. Got a bottom of the line paint job at Maaco and never looked back! Wish I still had it.
But sold it for $5k and bought a 1985 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham! HAHA! That was in 1995
    Good times!

Speaking of Impalas, I bought this in 1989 for $3,000. It was red but I restored it to it’s original color of Chevy yellow #2. It came with a 396 and factory air.

    In 1995, i was handed a 1980 Volvo.
It was a reliable, slow, TANK LMFAO

But it had tons of space and a hand crank sunroof. Drunk girls loved to stand up out of it and expose the 80085

Funny thing is, it’s a 7 year old truck. It’s not like it’s a 2023 straight off the lot. I wonder if the Tacoma had been redesigned and this wasn’t the newest generation if so many people would be up in arms.

I think it’s new unless he found one with retrofit LED headlights. OPs vehicle is a 4Runner.

hes not going to want a 35 year old tacoma with soy wiring harnesses deteriorating. These cars have been engineered to go into a landfill.

I had a 63 327 auto 2 door impala i bought from a friends sister. Was a great smooth running car till the frame cracked in half at the rear window. Felt bad at the time having to have it hauled to the scrap yard.
