He needs to get a paint sprayer and spray it with Sherwin Williams paint while it's on the truck with no taping.

 

I thought you could just get a gallon, open it and toss it at the truck. Heard the factory wax will repel anything, therefor leaving just paint on the badge?

You can do that, but you first need to take a grinder to the badge just in case they got wax on it.
