No. Go slower now that i have a more valuable vehicle. Much heavier too than my old '93 4X2 toy.

In snow you want narrower tread, not wider. Your trying to get traction on the pavement, not trying to stay on top of the snow.

I lock my diff as soon as it drops below freezing. Rather safe than sorry.

Where are you in WA? I just drove from Bellevue to fall city no problem in 2wd. No need to air down for the street. Honestly, snow here in the greater Seattle area doesn't stick around long however with the forecast this week, I'd be more worried about ice than snow. During the day snow will melt and at night it will begin to freeze.

Probably not the greatest idea, great way for the ass end to go where you don't want it if/when it breaks traction.

That makes it easier for the rear end to walk out and for you to begin spinning

I don't air down but I do throw a few bags of sand, kitty litter, or sometimes salt in the bed just for weight to provide better weight distribution and give the rear wheel better traction. If you or someone else ends up getting stuck, the sand and kitty litter can also be used to help provide traction if it's icy.

Deep unbroken snow, like 12"+, you air down. Lower amounts than 12" or any snow that has been packed, never air down.

You want to float to keep from high centering in the deep stuff. You want to have enough ground pressure to cut through to the ground in the shallow stuff.

For whoever locks it in 4wd when it gets below freezing... why. It makes no sense unless the roads are slick.

Not to mention the snow he's talking about is only like 1.5-2in. I was just out in it, 4WD might be needed occasionally for a steep slow hill but normal driving should be fine if you keep your distance and be careful/

Naw, fill up the back with snow and leave all of it on your roof and hood- the blowoff keeps tailgaters off your aft and the weight gives you extra traction! Specially cool if you have a white Taco!

Seriously, I used to keep it all on including the windshield until I pulled out of the drive, then I’d dust off in the street. The extra weight helped get over the plow berm and I didn’t have to shovel what fell on the truck! I’d leave what fell in back along with some sand bags for traction, and a plastic bucket of kitty litter for emergency traction to spread up my drive or other icy spots.
