What gland? I'm have sub-clinical hypothyroidism. I'm active as hell and eat right. I don't suffer from fatigue or weight gain. In fact, at my last physical, my doctor took me off the meds for it. We agreed to do a 6 month test and reassess how I feel. So, yeah, glands can have some input on metabolism. Doesn't mean you have to slow down and let them.

Been seeing a bunch of discussions on r/superstonk (and still can't chime in) about their GME cost basis being wrong on Fidelity after the transfer from RH. My cost basis just showed up in my fidelity and of course it is wrong. It is off $13 per share, and of course, not in my favor. Guess I'll be calling tomorrow. There is apparently a form I can fill out to have it corrected?

 

The older me is seriously considering doing two things the younger me swore he would never do.

1. Buy a new car off the lot.
2. Buy a fucking Prius.

The wife and I are looking for a vehicle to replace our Jetta. Toyota is doing 72/0% financing on the Prius. There's a $4250 Fed tax credit and a $1000 CA refund. The real kicker is the 2021 model year has an AWD-e option. It's also about 15K cheaper then the RAV4 Prime we're also considering. Her current daily is a 2009 4Runner 4X4. We also have a 96 Taco that's 4X4. Plus my wheeling rig. So maybe I don't really need a RAV4.

Just kidding. If the vehicle is bought as a “tool” then you go with whatever best fits the needs at the lowest cost.

Get the brand new one. There's something to be said for being the one and only owner. That's my little "treat" for myself since I'm not married and don't have kids. Factory new vehicles. Love it.

 

Buy coin/crypto. No tossing involved.
Invest in stocks & mutual funds.
Buy used 3-5 year old cars; just like your used 3-5 year old electronics (and everything else you own).
Never buy new when there's a slew of second-hand gems waiting to be found.

Then go and be merry because you've saved tens of thousands of dollars.

When we are all rich due to capitalism in the stock market, we are going to buy all the precious gemstones and need to know about geology so we dont get ripped off by more capitalism.

 

And we are also going to have golden Tacoma’s, air fryers for our tendies, low sperm counts, and be magnetic. You’ve missed a lot.
