We make a version of our ROCKSTAR™ Hitch Mounted Mud Flaps for mid-size pickup trucks and we're looking for a member of Tacoma World to put them to the test.

The mud flaps have extra thick 1/2-inch rubber standing guard between trailers and rock damage. This reduces sailing while the smooth surface of the rubber minimizes ice and mud buildup. The rubber can handle high temperatures — as high as 250 degrees Fahrenheit.

The frame comes in rustproof smooth, mill-finish aluminum or bright diamond plate. It mounts to a 2” receiver hitch and only one tool is needed to make a quick installation.

If you think you have what it takes to put our mud flaps to the test, let us know in the comments with a photo of your Tacoma and a description of how you use it. The ideal tester has lots of experience towing and a trailer they need to protect. We also need the tester to send us lots of photos of the installed mud flaps and hopefully some video, too.

We'll leave this open until March 31 to make sure as many forum members get a chance as possible.

I may be a little late to the plate, but since I don't see any other volunteers, I'll give it a shot.

I drive county roads that are either black top or gravel, and are brutal on gear and equipment. I haul wood, scrap, logs, cars & trucks, lumber, soil, gravel, and anything for a dime or two. I also contract as a carpenter, specializing in cottage restoration and the jacking up and the restructuring of their foundations.

I have the following truck that I use to haul a couple of trailers and could use some extra protection for them and their contents. Yes, it's Farm plated, as I also own a managed forest. The truck and works hard, is well taken care off, and already has an Access LiteRider tonneau cover. Loaded with 2" AAL's and Air Lift helper springs, All Pro sway bar end links, and Icon suspension, it's built to haul and work.

The oversized tires kick up a lot of mud and debris on the side roads up here in the County, which literally coat my trailers in mud and sprays them with loose tar and gravel.

    What I tow:

    - 18' float with a Kioti CK 20HST tractor/loader/back hoe

    - 3.5 ton tandem dump trailer that is taking a beating. It is powder coated, but is already chipped and rusting after three years. Don't like that at all. I'm box-lining the face this weekend before the real season starts.

... part of the posse. I have a landscaping trailer that's elsewhere at the moment. The snow blower is on the tractor. Switching out the back hoe this weekend.

    trailers_zpssxj5pbzs_c0d05aa0994ac09bf27435127e7455bb5b38195f.jpg

    ... and log splitter

Let me know if you're interested. I could put these guards to the test.

    Thanks for the offer!

    Let me know!

    That's awesome, Logan!

I'm looking forward to putting them to the test on these county roads!

Thanks again, and a ton of pics to follow,

Was just doing some searching and came across this thread. It's making me wonder what happened. Did you guys send off some mudflaps and then never heard another thing from the guy, or what?

For what it's worth, the mud flaps didn't fit on an armored truck bumper. I had lifted the truck and installed AVID Off Road bumper guards by the time I had received them. We worked it out.

My truck was stolen. I now drive a RAM Rebel.
