Ah ya, glad you are on here or I may not have known this!! Thanks!! Btw I have punched windshields in anger before that didn't break, this one I barely hit, more like a flick at the bug and my knuckle broke it, POS glass for sure. Again, thanks for your insight though!!

at the time I bought my Taco there wasn't a thing called entitlement, if you made any mistake in life you'd have to man up and deal with the consequences, fast forward to the year 2020[IMG]

I took off an air dam once
I flat handed my windshield (on the side that faces out) on my 05 silverado back in High School and cracked the entire passenger side of it, glass breaks. :notsure:

Just for future reference - A windshield ballparks for $500. An interior hollow core door ballparks for $50. A half panel of sheetrock can be had for $5.

    Therefore:

On Thursday, punch the walls instead. It's a Friday thread, I'm in love...

Toyota uses the softest glass and paint of all the vehicles I have owned, my 2016 glass was permanately scratched from running thru a car wash....lol

i think that would be a case of the glass being too rigid/brittle instead of soft

I wonder if the glass is designed this way? So you can break out if need be?

After seeing this I'll definitely be easy on the inside of my windshield, I've smashed my share of bugs on it. No problems so far.
