2014 Tacoma Regular Cab 4WD

I am looking at the Weather Guard Saddle Tool Box Model 137. I can't decide whether to get the clear polished or black finish. I like the black but I have concerns regarding nicks and scratches showing the bare aluminum over time. Anyone have a black Weather Guard that can give me some input about how rugged the black finish is ?
