weather not on nav screen

Just got new 2023 and just noticed that nav works, xm radio works; but under weather nothing shows up. Did the dealer not set it up right?

 

On my 2021, weather gets pulled from the over an over the air FM radio. I have it as one of the home screen panels and there is a "HD Radio" symbol. To my knowledge there isn't a setup process for you or your dealer and I haven't seen a way to tell it always show weather for a specific location -- it just shows weather for the closest city it knows about.

My assumption would be that where you are there isn't a signal (or it's not strong enough) for whatever radio station is sending that weather data (my assumption would be something like a PBS or NPR station, but I really don't know for sure)

 

If it’s over AM/FM radio then it’s very limited due to the antenna being set inside the roof. I posted an antenna relocation on here to get a much stronger HD signal.

 

Have had issue in the past with intermittent HD signal and no weather.
